I’ve been here multiple times over the last several months and have tried a good selection of the menu. It’s one of the only places in the Lancaster area to get a genuine fresh bagel, and the only location I’ve found that makes salt bagels.
Food: their bagels are good for this area but mediocre compared to the Philly/NJ area. They’re pretty heavy on the egg wash, which takes away from the flavor of the plain / salt. Salt is light on salt. I’ve personally found everything is the best bagel type. Breakfast sandwiches are very unseasoned (no basic seasoning like salt & pepper used you specifically request it). Don’t bother getting the scrapple. I’m not sure why they offer it if they don’t know how to cook it. It was see-through thin and so SO over fried. Cinnamon sugar donuts are pretty good!
In terms of service: they’re polite but pretty slow, and they’ve never gotten an order correct (both in person for dine-in and online for take-out). They always miss something from the order (wrong meat, wrong bagel type, missing a...

When we saw they opened a second shop in our hometown Lititz, I walked in on day-one and told the owner to get used to seeing us :D Seriously, Lancaster county is great at a lot of stuff, but a proper New York-style bagel isn't one of them... until Shay and company opened shop. We used to drive up to Reading to New York Bagelry since there weren't other good options in Lanco. That's how bad it is... BTW, lots of local Lanco places that sell proper bagels just get them from New York Bagelry in Shillington. Now we have a shop making bagels well......
Read moreNice to have a new breakfast option in Lititz. My bagel sandwich was very good, but as someone who enjoys sitting in a coffee shop while dining, I was disappointed in the overall appearance and atmosphere of Roundbreads. The decor is rather cold and uninspired. So much more could be done with the space to make it more inviting and comfortable. I also found the music very loud and unpleasant. I haven’t been to the Lancaster location so can’t compare the two. I may come back but probably only for takeout - dining in was just not...
