Gopchang Story Rhode Island — Restaurant in Warwick

I don’t even know where to start. So let’s roll with the basics. The prepared food we received was delicious. The service was impeccable, everyone was so nice. The atmosphere… well… I wouldn’t change a thing.

Done with basics, let’s dive a little deeper. They started off by filling the table with small foods. Kimchi, pasta salad, eggplant, onions & jalapeños and a bean sprout salad. It was just enough to fire up the appetite. For smalls and apps, we had fried dumplings, fried rice and the spicy cold noodle. All three were out of this world. They dropped some sort of tofu soup on the table on the house. Had a very a nice flavor.

Now time for the mains. We (four of us) did the assorted GUI ( heart, large & small intestines and entrails) do not sleep on these people. They came on a cooktop to the table in a cast iron. With assorted veg, they fired it up and bang ready to eat. Also, we tried the beef and pork combo. The menu said it fed 2-3 people, but with the smalls and other food it was just enough. It came with rolled sliced thin beef and pork that grilled up quick. Then the marinated pork slabs and beef cubes that were flavored perfect. We also did the veg platter on the side.

All in all. Would recommend and will be back...

I recently tried Gopchang Story Korean BBQ in Warwick, and I am seriously impressed! It’s exciting to finally have a Korean BBQ spot specializing in Gopchang (grilled beef/pork intestines) right here in Rhode Island, and they absolutely nailed it.

I ordered the large intestine (Gopchang), and it was cooked to perfection—crispy on the outside and tender inside with that rich, savory flavor Gopchang lovers crave. The seasoning was spot on, bringing out the best in the meat without overpowering it.

I also tried the Tteokbokki, and it was incredible! The rice cakes were perfectly chewy and soaked up the flavorful, slightly spicy sauce. It had the perfect balance of heat and sweetness, making it super comforting and satisfying.

The atmosphere was lively but cozy, and the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. They made sure the grill was running just right and checked in often without being overbearing.

If you’re a fan of authentic Korean BBQ or want to try something different, Gopchang Story is a must-visit. It’s a unique addition to Warwick’s food scene, and I can’t wait to come back and try...

Absolutely amazing experience at Gopchang Story Rhode Island!

From the moment we sat down, everything was exceptional. The small dishes alone were enough to impress—each one bursting with flavor and freshness. The kimchi had a smooth, well-balanced taste (not too sour!), the cucumber was refreshingly crunchy, and the glass noodles were so flavorful they could easily be a main dish on their own!

We also ordered the steamed egg, and wow—it was like eating a fluffy cloud! Light, airy, and perfectly cooked.

Now let’s talk about the meat—perfection. We got the beef platter for two, and every cut was beautifully seasoned. Our server expertly cooked the meat tableside, elevating the flavor even more. Each bite was juicy, tender, and rich in umami.

If you’re feeling adventurous, don’t miss the beef intestines. The small intestine and beef heart were both standouts—tender, flavorful, and surprisingly addicting.

Service is a solid 10/10, and the ambiance is cozy, clean, and inviting—also 10/10.
