We have gotten take out from here a few times, the food’s been great… however the experiences have been pretty miss dinning in… The first time we went there was an old couple seated next to us with the most horrendous bigot conversation possible… not the restaurants fault though so we hurried on our way. The second time we dined in there was a hair fried into my bacon… the waitress handled the situation great, we laughed it off, I got new bacon, etc everyone was happy. The third time we dined in I didn’t order the side bacon like I always do so my significant other inquired on it and I said I was just a little off put by the last bacon I had and wanted to pass today - the waitress happened to be the same one and promptly asked if it was the situation she thought it was and I confirmed and just passed on the bacon but the rest of the interaction felt weird like she was upset we spent less money by not ordering the sides… The next time we ordered for carry out and skipped the meats again, when we went to pick up the food they weren’t very polite to the point of having to ask what the issue was and getting vibes like they were treating us differently over having changed our habitual order after having hair in my food… it’s interesting to feel like you’re paying for someone else’s mistake by being treated poorly when it shouldn’t have been a big issue to begin with? It happens and we were polite about the whole thing… just very disappointing especially after continuing to come despite a not so positive moment...
Read moreI just can't give this place a good review. We have eaten there a few times, and I tried to find something positive that made me want to recommend it. First, it is pricey. For my son and I to have pancakes, two sides of meat, 1 order of hasbrowns, 2 small ojs and a coffee was nearly $40, so with the tip it was pushing $50 for breakfast. Was there anything special about what we ate? No. My son got chocolate chip nut pancakes but he said they weren't great (and I am sure we paid a pretty penny for them). The coffee was dismal. I put my normal 2 creams 2 sweetners in and it was like I added them to hot water. There was no coffee taste. I understand people have different preferences regarding the stregnth of their coffee, but this was so weak it was gross. Were they trying to save money or something? Not that I ever got a refill on that aforementioned pathetic cup of joe, mind you. I noticed the staff seems rushed and are not particularly attentive when it comes to refills. It does not matter if the restaurant is busy or not, if it is breakfast lunch or dinner time. If the prices were more reasonable, I would have perhaps overlooked the average food and service. But I expect more if I have to pay more, and I was not happy any of the times we have...
Read moreMy wife and I eat dinner here regularly. We very much enjoy the food and the friendly service, and the prices are reasonable. We especially like the delicious chicken noodle soup and the salads. Being Polish, I enjoy the stuffed cabbage (gołąbki) when it's on the menu, but the pierogi are the worst I've ever tasted--the dough looks and tastes like wallpaper! The temperature inside the restaurant is often too cool for us seniors, so we usually bring along a light sweater or jacket. We find it odd that they don't include a sheet of specials with their menu but instead write them on a blackboard near the entrance that is hard to read from most tables or booths. The front end can be a bit chaotic due to where the kitchen entrance is located, and one risks getting run over by a server while entering the restaurant or paying one's bill. But in the final analysis, we really enjoy eating here and appreciate the fact that the restaurant is very...
