First and probably last time we'll order from the "new" place. Everything seamed a little too well done. We ordered 1 Large Pizza with half Cup Pepperoni and Fried onions and half plain. 1 Order of Boneless wings and fries, and 1 order of funnel cake fries. Highly disappointed that they removed the XL boardwalk pie. Was literally the only reason we ever ordered from them. The Pizza: As well done as it was the cup pepperoni was under cooked, too thick? Oven too hot? It was ok as a whole, taste was one note. It appears the crust is now corn mealed or something. Maybe its the difference of the XL stretch we used to adore. The pizza looked great though! The Boneless wings: definitely over priced. Cooked borderline over, but fine. Comes frozen from a box so the only thing they need to do is drop in a fryer. The honey hot sauce was decent, we liked the sauce. The funnel cake fries were overcooked and mainly inedible. The kids wouldn't touch them with a 10' pole. Lesson learned on that. Ordering them was a mistake. Hopefully you stay clear too.
In summary, there are far too many pizza joints in the area, many more established with a better product. I'm sure New Wave will find it considering its simply just a rebrand. But they've alienated some existing customers in...
Read moreIt’s funny. You have several comments on here calling your food “mid” and not that good. I tried your all about the crust location a while back and I said your pizza was lacking in flavor. And you got all butt hurt and said it wasn’t. 😆. You have a lot to learn about the pizza business. You act so cocky and like you know it all, but you really don’t. Instead of being so thin skinned and sensitive to criticism, maybe listen to your customers instead of arguing with them. And this “we don’t take phone orders” policy. That’s the way pizza has always been done. The old school places, the most SUCCESSFUL establishments. All the mom and pop places in the city do phone orders. Maybe you can learn a thing or 2 from them. Like Angelo’s. Your employees are messing up the phone orders? Maybe you’re hiring the wrong employees. I’ve been going to pizzerias my entire life, I’ve never once had my order wrong. Oh, and your pizzas need to be cooked more. That ain’t a well done undercarriage. The crust looked very white. A crispy pizza crust should look golden brown. Take notes! You have a...
Read moreI gotta say the food is good. Pizza is best in this area by far. Cheesesteaks are good too, a lil too cheesey sometimes but good. The biggest reason why I couldn't give this a four or a five five star rating was because of the price and the convenience of it. The food is pricey and they only do online orders, you can't just call and order the pizza which is annoying. Maybe it's because they have a small staff I don't know. But the biggest issue is the delivery fees. We put in an order and there was a $17 in fees between the mandatory tip, the service fee and the delivery fee... That's basically a whole pizza lol that's crazy... I was hesitant to say anything because judging from the replies to other comments the owner seems to be a little thin-skinned but I think people should know. To summarize, you're going to get good food but you're going to pay a premium. Whether or not you think it's worth, it is entirely up to you. Just don't try to get it...
