Today, my family and I decided to try "SH Nail Bar and Spa" for the first time. Upon arriving, we were impressed by how beautiful the interior lookedâit was very nice and welcoming. We approached the front desk to check in for our appointment and requested a list of services offered at the location. As we were reviewing the service list, we overheard employees commenting, "they donât even know what service they want." Unbeknownst to them, we also speak Vietnamese. We chose to ignore the comment and proceeded with our appointment after selecting our services.
Once we were seated and the employees began setting up their equipment, the remarks continued. One employee said, "Sheâs pregnantâwhy is she even getting her nails done?" Another mentioned, "We have another appointment at 10:30 a.m. Letâs just rush through this one." If employees are running behind or overbooked, they should communicate that professionally rather than rushing customers through their appointments.
We asked a few questions about the services, and the staff told us they no longer offered certain ones. Immediately after, they resumed talking about us, saying, "These new customers are already asking so many questions and demanding this and that." It's perfectly normal to ask questions, especially at a new place, and their attitude made us feel disrespected.
We reported the situation to the front desk and requested to speak with the manager, but we were told the manager was busy with another customer, which we understood. However, we wanted to ensure our feedback was passed along.
Unfortunately, this experience left us feeling disrespected, and it will be our first and last time visiting this location. We hope management addresses this with their staff, as proper customer service and respect are essential for any...
Read moreAfter going to this salon for over a year , the tech that I was going to suddenly went downhill with her work. From not getting the shape of my nails right to other issues âŚOne day after my gel refill my nails BURNED to the point that I could not put them under hot water for days !! During that particular appointment she nipped my cuticle with the drill twice ! She mentioned that it was a new drill. Anyway , I chose to go to a new tech after that , she was okay. But the handling of her attempting to reschedule my appointments was very inconsiderate and unprofessional I ended up canceling my last appointment. I also mentioned to her that after my last appointment the burning of my nails which was crushed off by saying that I was probably allergic to one of the chemicals ! Complete BS ! She didnât even attempt to empathize. Upon visiting a new salon , I learned that my nail beds have been overly drilled down. They are even sensitive to this day ! (Almost 2 months later) This is extremely disappointing as anyone knows once your nail bed is ruined itâs difficult to come back from that. I am not one to make a bad review unless completely necessary but this is just to say itâs sad to have been going to a place for so long and they were ruining my natural nails with no care. I will never return...
Read moreI went there for the first time to get a pedicure. The technician who started working on my feet used a brush that was clearly not new. When I asked about it, she told me they donât sanitize or replace the brush for each customerâthey just rinse it with water.
I expressed my concern about the risk of getting a fungus. I was so uncomfortable and grossed out that I decided not to get any polish. Despite this, the receptionist tried to charge me $35 for the service. I explained that I wasnât going to pay full price because I did not receive a proper, sanitary service. I also mentioned that other salons Iâve been to follow strict hygiene and safety practices. Her response was, âI donât care.â I replied that I didnât care for their business either. Eventually, the price was reduced to $15, which I paid, and I still tipped the technician for her time.
This business needs to prioritize safety and hygieneâfungus is not a joke. I am also expecting, and if I end up with an infection or fungus from this unsanitary practice, I will take...
