I placed an order this evening through my Grubhub app. 45 min later a DOORDASH order was left at my door. I wasn’t able to get to my door in time as I was finishing up bath time w/ my toddler. By the time I got the order the driver was gone. I quickly messaged him a picture of the receipt letting him know he had delivered the wrong order. He didn’t reply. I then reached out to Grubhub to let them know. Grubhub was not much help. While chatting w/ Grubhub, I called the restaurant and let them know what happened. They confirmed they still had my Grubhub order sitting there. They told me I could keep the DOORDASH order and that even though they don’t have a delivery service, someone was coming out to deliver my correct order to me. Besides them being so courteous and kind, and going out of their way to bring me & my family out dinner. They also threw in a chocolate cake for the inconvenience. In addition, I was delightfully please with how amazing my Linguine Chicken Pesto was. This was my first time ordering from Pasta Pomodoro and it will definitely not be the last. Thank you so much for your kind service & delicious meal. LOVED IT!!!! You made what was almost going to be a horrible experience a very...
Read moreFirst, the food is good though the fried Calamari was a little tough..
But we came in to order (haven't been here in a few years so didn't realize it was takeout only), looked at the menu, ordered, got our food nice and quick then looked at the receipt and it didn't seem right.
The prices on our receipt were higher across the board. Our receipt was higher by about $15-$18. The owner was not there and the folks working really didn't have an opinion.
To me, even though the menu says "prices subject to change" in fine print, that really isn't how any of us who've eaten in Italian restaurants across the Northeast work.
Either markup the menu, cover the price and write on it or even place an index card on the acrylic menu holder explaining the price increases. I highly doubt there is a supply chain shortage on new menus. I have friends in the printing business who would gladly print menus in a week or less.
At least, please instruct the employees at the counter to simply mention that the menus are wrong when either we take a menu or when we order. They could have simply told us to check the menu online...
Read moreFood is delicious every single time. We have 3 kids, going to sit down at a restaurant to eat is not the thing for us LOL. Kids wanna be on the phone/tablet then it's a problem when we tell them to put it down. Then the food comes to the table and someone needs to use the restroom suddenly. If you have 2 or 3 kids you know the drill. So we do take out and this is the spot for us. Portions are huge and everything we have ever tried is really good. One thing that I really like here is that when you pick up, they grab your order and go through it to verify everything is accurate. Takes me about 15 minutes to drive other there and there is nothing worse than getting home and realizing something is wrong or missing. Never...
