My mother and I visited for a late breakfast. We had a 15 minute wait as it was pretty busy but when seated, the server was friendly and the area was nice and clean. We were overwhelmed by all of the delicious sounding options on the menu. I was hoping to try the crab avocado toast and my mom wanted the purple haze drink but both were seasonal choices and not available anymore. (note to self, visit frequently so I don't miss out on any seasonal dishes I'd like to try). My mom had the carrot cake pecan waffles, huge and excellent! My chickichanga was excellent as well. What impressed me most, and it might seem like a small thing but was important to me, is how well seasoned the potatoes were. Actually, all of the food was seasoned well and I'm comparing this to some diners where they make their potatoes with just salt and pepper...bland! We both enjoyed the million dollar bacon but my mom noted it would be better if some of the grease was blotted off. Our server, who was really great, actually convinced my mom to try one of the fresh squeezed juice with beets in it and she said she would order it again. We ordered the Trifecta to go, hubby said that was delicious too. So, I'm pleased that there is a decent breakfast spot not too far from home with good food and service. Looking forward to returning. Update: 2/14/22 food and service is still consistently excellent 👍🏾

SUMMARY: The food is tasty, but inconsistent. it is a good place for something different and the service is good, but you can get just as good breakfast food with better consistency at a local diner for less. Detailed review below with pictures. DETAILS: I went to first watch this morning with two guests. The orders consisted of pancakes, the muffin top griddle cakes, bacon, and the traditional breakfast. I like the online reservation system and the service was good. Let me start by saying the Muffin top griddle cakes are fantastic - I recommend this if you do go. it was the best part of the meal. The bacon had to be sent back to be cooked a bit longer and tasted mediocre. I would skip it at $5/side. The pancakes were tasty; however, do not believe the hype on their size. As you can see from the picture, they are the same size as other places. One of the guests mentioned that the edges of the pancakes were dry. Overall, First Watch is a decent, but pricy place for breakfast. I recommend it if you are going to get one of their specialties. For all other regular breakfast items, I would stick with your favorite diner as the consistency will be better and the price would likely be a bit less.

I just wanted to take the time to give some positive feedback about my experience that I had at this location. I went into place to takeout order and the young man at the register was delightful. He was attentive. He was multitasking. He was very friendly and personable. I had an issue with a gift card that I was attempting to use and the manager Tia came not only was she extremely understanding, but I feel as though she truly embodies what management and customer service is about. Not only did she address the issue quickly, but she was extremely courteous and kind and doing so. She didn’t make me feel as though needing a manager was an inconvenience or that I didn’t matter as a customer in these current times where people are often casually unkind. It was extremely refreshing. Not to mention that the restaurant was clean the staff were working very well. While waiting for my takeout order, I was able to observe how attentive the staff was to their tables and also how efficient they were. I commend Justin and Tia for such a wonderful job.

Me and my wife dinned in yesterday and experienced the absolute worst service we gave ever been given. We sat and our waitress who seemed nice at first, took our drinks and came back 15 mins. later which was fine, to take orders. We eventually waited over an hour before I had to go ask a host for a manager. He came over and asked how he can help to which he mentioned he can definitely find out. He eventually came back to tell us that our waitress only put the order in 26mins ago. My wife who works in food industry as a manger knows this as a red flag, and to even argue with a customer is a huge no. He showed no remorse or sympathy about any of it. We continue to wait and he dropped off a $10 bonus card.. to which barely pays for a thing at the this place. Our waitress gave the vibe she was intentionally avoiding us. We couldnt flag her down or get her attention. We get they are busy, but to never come over to apologize or see if we were okay? Or even make up some lie as to why its taking so long. At this point the manager said he pushed it through. Still no food after 15-20 more mins. We eventually had enough and went to the host stand and requested the manager again. He asked if we like to cancel the order… We wanted our food but got tired of waiting and asking. We have more than enough patience, but when tables around you have been sat after you and then served and left, then there is a line the company shouldn’t cross. In conclusion we gave the $10 card right back to him. We wanted to speak with the GM but he was on the line, which we thought was weird since he should of made sure the table whos ticket time had been over an hour was being taken care of. Basically never ended up with food. I tired to call in today, but the manger was busy, and said he should call us back. Currently waiting to see if they do. The top of it all it was our first wedding anniversary and wanted brunch the same place we got bruch the day after our wedding. Either way was the most horrible service I’ve truly experienced. Would not go back to this location or the company. Do better or you will eventually have someone else in the same boat complaining and leaving similar reviews. Again have worked in a restaurant as well and know how the operations run. Guests are the most important thing. Do better..

*Update -No one ever called or got in touch, like they said they would. No reach out from GM, customer service, or relations. Dont bother with this place service in...

Owner and managers, please listen. There is something wrong with your dishwasher. It needs to be taken apart and sanitized. The last 3 times we visited our glasses smelled like dirty dishwasher and maple syrup. We had to ask for new glasses. It’s the same every time. Once liquids hit the glass, the stench is disgusting! This time the odor was emanating off the plates as well. You clearly have food caught in your dishwashers, or they are being run through too quickly. The smell is from food bacteria, so every patron is participating in that. I have a Samsung one, and unless we take it apart and clean it, it’s the same foul rotten food smell. It’s not a one off experience that this has happened 3x. It’s a shame because your breakfast food is the best around with the exception of bringing out brown avocado in avocado toast and expecting someone to eat it and pay 12.99 for it. Use lemon. No one wants brown fruit.

Lastly, I was knocked into a few times by the guy bussing tables and I believe you are breaking health codes. He leaves all unused mugs on the table from a previous table for new patrons. In one case, I was watching a child handle a mug and pretend to drink from it, and then her family left, and that mug was left after the table was bussed as “clean” for the next patron. Gross! You can’t reuse table items for multiple tables!!!! My daughter would not let me speak up fearing the embarrassment of causing a scene. But this is disgusting especially during sick season. He also took silverware that was still rolled from the used table and put it back in a basket for new patrons. Anyone at that table could have picked it up, and wiped something on it because the general public is not trained on food handling. Either is your guy bussing tables, unless he’s being instructed to cut corners this way.

Lastly, we were rushed out when we were only halfway finished, asked if we wanted boxes. That is so rude.

We will only return and remove the review once you clean your dishwasher. It’s a public...

Love the food. A little pricey for breakfast, but the food is great. I'm only giving it 3 stars because the "join the wait" option apparently doesn't let you join the wait. I joined the wait this morning and was quoted 45mins-1 hour. I checked in about 50 minutes in only to be told I have to wait another 30 minutes or so although when I check my status online it says I'm next. There's a difference between "joint the wait-list" and "reduce your wait". Pick one and stick to it.

Update: I dropped the rating form 3 to 2 stars because of the following. We ended up waiting a total of 1 hour and 35 minutes before we were finally seated by the restrooms. I Joined the wait-list at 9:40, was actually seated at 11:15, so my wait wasn't really reduced at all. By that point my young children were so hungry they were starting to cry. There was not a manager in sight. The server was very nice and worked quickly. I ordered the short ribs poutine, which I've had at the cherry hill location before. It was a little too salty for my liking and didn't have as enought pieces of short rib in it. My family seemed to enjoy their meals as well but honestly, at that point, they were all so hungry they would have eaten just about anything.

I don't think I'll return to this location, especially on a weekend again. I've had better luck (still a little over online wait times) at the cherry hill location so I will take my...
