The only reason why I did not give this place a one star is because of the workers. I feel badly for them. I , like a lot of mothers out there, like to surprise my loved ones with yummy food sometimes. My son really likes the grilled cheese sandwiches that they make at Tim Hortons. They are not as yummy as my home made ones, but they are still very very good. We arrived 8 minutes before closing and were very disappointed to find out that the "sandwich station " was already closed so no hot items were available. I have encountered this at other businesses and I find it to be very very very annoying. It is probably so that they can let the ovens cool enough I suppose or maybe there is another reason of which I am not aware. However I still find it to be very very annoying and I wish that they could find a way to keep maybe a small toaster operating at the least. Anyway..... My son then said well then please just get me a bagel with cream cheese. Of course they only had one flavor of bagel.... And of course it was not going to be toasted. So the nice worker could tell that this whole thing was quite annoying for me...and my son.... So he had the great idea that they could just give us the cream cheese in a separate cup and we will just toast the bagel at home and put the cream cheese on at home. So even though this place did not have our first preference.... They tried to keep us happy and they were very very pleasant...
Read moreThis was my first visit to a Tim Hortons. I wanted to see what all the fuss was about. It was fairly early on a Sunday morning. I was shocked to pull into the parking lot and find a very long queue of cars waiting for the drive-thru. I thought that perhaps this was a good sign. Inside, there were a few customers ahead of me.
After several minutes, I ordered a breakfast sandwich on an English muffin, hash browns, coffee, and a couple of donuts, which I had planned to eat later that morning.
The coffee was a disappointment. It was just decent fast food coffee. The cup was poorly designed for anyone drinking coffee in a moving vehicle. The lid was one of those old-fashioned thin plastic ones where you break loose a tab which is folded back for drinking. Having become accustomed to more modern lids like those used by Starbucks, this cup and lid struck me as really cheap. The lid also did not stay on my cup very well.
The hash browns were very good and were the highlight. The breakfast sandwich was not good. The English muffin was very dry. I decided to not eat the breakfast sandwich, so I ate the donuts instead. Both were wet with glaze which made them soggy and a mess to eat.
I don't understand the hype. McDonald's breakfast sandwiches are better. Dunkin Donuts' donuts and...
Read moreStopped in for a dinner with my son. We waited for about five minutes before we were greeted by an employee. They were busy taking care of the drive-thru, however, they did notice us, but did not make us a priority. We ordered our food and once it was ordered, it again took about five minutes for us to get our food. In all of that time, the order was not correct. We did not receive the apple sauce for my son's meal and my tea was not sweetened. There was no fork for my sons mac and cheese. Going back up for the silverware, it took far to long to be addressed. I did not realize that I did not receive my sons apple sauce until we were pretty much done with our meal and after the first two experiences with the team member, I did not want to bother them, since apparently we were not a priority.
There also was not a notice that the chocolate milk would be an additional $0.50.
The cherry on top was as we were getting in our truck, a vehicle drove up to the drive-thru box and then drove away when they realized it wasn't Wendy's. The employee said a few things and finished it with "Hasta la vista, Bitches!"
Really?
Is this acceptable for...
