We decided we needed some comfort food after a disappointing Lacrosse loss for my son's high school. After mulling it over, we settled on Burger King on Avery Road in Dublin, OH. We used the BK.Com site to place the order. The process was simple and it offered the BOGO promo currently being advertised. We ordered an Impossible Whopper and small fries for my wife and two classic chicken sandwiches and medium fries for me and my son. Entered our payment info and hit submit. The site said that it was verifying the order with the local store. After a few seconds, it displayed "Success! Your order has been placed!". We ordered it for pickup so it said to go through the drive through and give your name and say it was an online order. It took me a couple of minutes to get my coat and shoes on and another 6-7 minutes to drive to the BK on Avery and Perimeter Dr. When I got to the driveway, the lot was completely empty except for two cars. There were two employees outside the back door and it looked like they were wrestling or joking around or something. They still had the drive thru headsets on their heads. I proceeded to pull around the building to the drive thru speaker. As I pulled up to the speaker, I noticed a sign pasted on it that said "We are out of meat. Sorry for the inconvenience ". I thought that was odd because the website indicated that they validated the order with the store. Someone came on the speaker and asked if they could help so I told them that I was picking up an online order. He proceeded to tell me that they couldn't make the Whopper. I said that was OK (stuff happens) and so I said to credit me for the Whopper and I would pay for the rest of the food. He proceeded to tell me that he COULDN'T CREDIT ME BUT WOULD TAKE DOWN MY NAME AND I COULD PICK ONE UP TOMORROW! REALLY?? Of course, I said that was unacceptable and to just credit me for the entire order. He once again said he had no process to credit me. At this point, I am not only hungry but very frustrated. How can you have employees in a retail establishment that can't provide a credit if something goes awry!! I told him that was ridiculous and drove away. Since I paid for the meal via credit card I will be disputing that charge. I highly recommend that you avoid this Burger King...
Read moreI really hate to give this Burger King a low rating, only because I used to get burgers through the drive thru previously and always had a good experience. I would say the last time I visited this particular Burger King was 6-7 months ago prior to this evening. Tonight I pulled up to the drive thru to place my order, requested the cheeseburger value meal and was told they did not have any hamburgers, cheeseburgers, Whoppers, or Whopper Jr.s, but they had the Royal Crispy Chicken sandwich and the Original Chicken Sandwich. I figured this poor guy had probably been dealing with customers complaining all night about the missing burger situation (despite the restaurant’s name), so I just went with the Royal Crispy Chicken Sandwich. I pulled up to the pickup window and paid for my food and was given my drink. There was a minivan in front of me fully loaded with people. Then a car pulled up behind me. Because I was at the window, I could see that there were two people working; one making food, the other bagging the food and working the drive thru. I also saw that these two employees were doing the best they could to get orders out, but the arrival of the car behind me (and another pulling into the parking lot) caused quite a bit of yelling and stressful interaction. So obviously there’s an issue of understaffing here if 3 cars in the drive thru causes such a problem. My wait was a total of 22 minutes. The other issue is Burger King not having any burgers. I really wanted the cheeseburger even though the chicken sandwich was very good. Like I said, I hate to give a bad rating, but I hope it will make the situation at this Burger King better, both for employees...
Read moreI have worked close to this location for 16 years, and in that time I have eaten here quite a few times, always telling myself that it's been a while and they probably have new employees and/or management. Every time I end up mad at myself for wasting the money and for thinking that things will change. Of of the things for a restaurant to be inconsistent about, how they'll "get you" is this store's forte. Will the order be wrong? Will it just be a burger with crappy, brown, limp lettuce? Will it be an ordinarily decent order of fries that got ruined to the point that you could dump them in your driveway in the winter to melt ice with all the salt? Will it be an order of nuggets at lunch (not late night when they can be sitting ) that were hard and who's texture when eating just didn't seem "right"? It's pathetic that a store is THIS bad, and it's not me griping... Every single person I know that has ever eaten here has had a bad experience. I will NEVER eat here again. I'll be next door at Wendy's, who is always consistent, always fresh, always friendly and doesn't give me a feeling of regret...
