In my opinion, this is not a place for younger kids. I made the mistake of taking my toddler to make grandparents gifts.
When I called to make my appointment- I asked if the staff assisted with the process. I advised that I am not artistic and wanted to understand the process before going. I was told that they could definitely help, and it’s no issue.
Now, when we get there - I have a toddler that was not in the mood for the shenanigans I had planned. Que my already overstimulated mood.
They have stencils, but you can’t actually use them for the lettering? Makes no sense to me. I don’t have great handwriting and the staff member on duty admitted she did not either. So my 2 big pieces are not anything I feel happy with.
The other item we made is adorable! The staff member was able to help me get my toddlers hand prints perfect across the piece and it came out so cute! I was going to write on this one too - but when I saw how the other two were looking I did not.
All in all, I paid $180 and didn’t feel like it was worth it. I think this place is more geared towards the artistic and not a casual drop...
Read moreI picked out three pieces to paint for Mothers day presents. I painted two of the three and I was running out of time before they closed. I asked the woman working if it was possible for me to come back and paint the third another day. She said yes. I asked her if I would have to pay the nine dollar studio fee again. She said no. She even put it on my receipt. I returned the next day and was told there wasn't any room for me to paint. That was disappointing but I understood. I was asked how much painting I had left on the piece. I told them I needed to paint the whole thing. Then the man working there said I would have to pay the fee again. I told him what the women from the night before said and showed him my receipt. He would not honor it. I know it is only 9 dollars but I had already spent 75 the day before and I don't have a ton of money. This was specifically budgeted for Mothers day. I'm extremely frustrated and disappointed with how they handled this and will not be going back...
Read moreI didn’t have an experience at all. I’ve been promising my daughter to paint some pottery, so we thought we’d try Color Me Mine. We’ve painted pottery before and have always had a great bonding experience with it. Because of traffic, we got there at 6:02. We were greeted by the staff with “we close off new painting at 6”, no “hi”, “welcome to color me mine”, or anything of the sort. I said, “It’s just two minutes” and was responded with, “OK, sooooo....? You can come back tomorrow”. I will actually never be coming back. I will take all of my business and make recommendations to...
