I stopped by to grab a bite to go being in the mood for ethiopian food and seeing a variety picture that made me know exactly what I wanted. When I walked in, the woman who greeted me was SO welcoming and after showing her the picture and placing my order, she invited me to have a seat. I ended up grabbing a mocktail at the bar which was SUPERB. It took him a few moments to make but that's because he took his time crafting it like a signature drink and you could taste the love that was poured into it no pun intended. You could taste the mint, the sweet, and not to mention the atmosphere was nice. Not too busy and though they were closing in an hr, that didn't stop them from providing a1 customer service to myself and those who came in after me (all too used to people who dread those last minjte customers but they were so kind and happy to provide their food and service). When I got home, the food was fantastic! They separated the meats in one container and the veggies in the other. All in all, it was a 10 out of 10 for me. The dish was $65 for 3 meats variety and 5 variety of veggie servings, but worth every penny and enough food to eat from another 2 times at...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe food and the owners are fantastic (thatās the owner in the picture with us š)! I have to say that I donāt know anything about Ethiopian food. One of my friends picked this spot and a group of us came. Our server was one of the owners and ran the place with her two sisters and brother. She made us feel at home, patiently answering questions for us since we were novices, and offering us samples of the few different house made Ethiopian drinks they served (one was like a mead and one was more of a spiced dark rum). We enjoyed everything we tried. I ordered the Sambusa appetizer and it was very fresh, with crust that was flaky and delicious. For our main course, we ordered a large plate that came with six different vegetables and beef, along with plenty of bread (I donāt remember the name of this dish or the name of the bread, but we loved it). It was $63 and was enough to feed three people. At the end, I ordered the baklava and it was the best Iāve had, warm, fresh, and flaky. Overall, we had such a good experience and we will definitely eat here again next again next time we...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe service was one of the best . The servers checked us time to time and refilled out water and asked if we needed any extra bread . The food was good but nothing extraordinary. Seeing a 4.9 rated restaurant we came in with high hopes. The combo platter was good and it reminded me of my local nepali thali. Almost similar lentils , spinach and tomato pickle except we have rice. The chicken stew was a disaster. The gravy tasted like fine mixture of mashed ground light coffee, bland and bitter. The mojito like drink was ok. They expect you to use your hand for eating but you need to wash your hands and there is no separate hand washing area except the restroom . After you wash the hand there are no paper towels which can be used to dry the hand or close the tap and open the door . Just add some paper towels on the bathroom. The price was ok and rather on the expensive side for a place like that especially the chicken stew which had one chicken leg piece and one boiled egg and...
