I shopped here on numerous occasions, but will never give them another dime. I was clearly saying that they "lost yo mind" in a joking manner.. but they decided to reply with that condescending tone after obviously sifting through my public instagram page, which has photos of several different Mercedes-Benz's which were uploaded as a collection of personal reviews of the different loaner cars that I've gotten over the course of the past few years of owning my own Mercedes-Benz. I'm guessing thats where they got the idea to say "Why don't you get back to taking photos of cars you can't afford either".

I am stating just the facts and my opinion of the facts at hand. But in any scenario, I don't think that is a very professional way to reply to any inquiry, regardless of whether or not I could afford it. I felt very humiliated and regret spending any money here. Joint custody is by far my favorite vinyl store in DC. Such an amazing and diverse selection of great deals. They also have the most competitive prices of any nearby store and likely the largest collection of anywhere I have been in the DMV. You definitely won't walk out of the store without having purchased some great additions to your collection. I've enjoyed going here on a monthly basis and will continue to do so!

My only reccomendation is that they reconsider their policy that requires customers to leave shopping bags/backpacks at the counter. It's understandable why they adopted it for theft prevention, but it is a slight annoyance to be asked to part from my personal property while I'm just shopping at a store. UPDATED REVIEW 2023: The quality of this place has gone down the tubes. I think the recent success in vinyl has gone to the owner's heads, because prices are ridiculous. Obviously they went on discogs, looked at the median sales price (which is the wrong thing to do for so many reasons) and then added $10-20 on top of that. For example, a 1st press VG+/VG+ copy of Extra Texture by George Harrison is not worth ~$55. Just because 1 person on the Internet paid that doesn't mean the average consumer is going to. These people have lost touch with basic rules of selling goods. Oh well.
