I am obsessed with this Andy’s Pizza location. Located inside of a streets market, it looks like an unassuming pizza line. But then you go back and there’s this super cool bar with art and games upstairs, as well as a bunch of tvs which are crucial for me during football season. The space gives a sort of speakeasy vibe without even trying. The pizza is immaculate - easily my favorite slice. I wrote an extensive review of the pizza at the Adams Morgan location but TLDR, the tomato sauce is perfectly fresh and satisfying, the crust is chewy and perfectly cooked, and the variety of pizza is awesome. I am a vegetarian and there’s plenty I can eat, there’s a vegan option too, and my carnivorous friends have a bunch of options. But also they serve other foods here too like burgers and fries and really good Brussels sprouts. The bar is awesome too. While they have cocktails, all their beer is on draft and they have a full bar, so if you feel like being bougie you can have an old fashioned with your pizza (seriously, try it, it’s life changing). Finally, I’m impressed with the staff here. Usually service in DC does not impress me especially in more casual spots, but here the service is prompt and friendly. I frequently see the manager on the floor and he seems to genuinely care about customer experience, but I’ve also seen him hop in to make pizzas a few times too. There are a lot of bilingual people on staff too including the manager, which I also really like. My biggest pro tips for this place are: (1) margherita pizza with Prosecco (2) making sure your football game is on the tv (3) getting a sticky fingers cupcake on your way out, as a stand is located in streets market.

Came here on a whim and overall I enjoyed my visit. Pretty lively atmosphere here with two levels and outdoor seating as well as a market in case you want to grab something to go. It being my first time here I wasn't sure how/where to order but upon observing a line of several people at the bar, I learned that you place your order/pay at the bar and they give you a ticket stand to place on the table where you may be sitting. I ended up ordering a slice of pepperoni pizza and a cheeseburger with fries. The slice was a decent size and had a nice sauce/cheese /pepperoni ratio. They surprisingly had hot honey as a condiment and I added some to my slice for that extra sweet heat. The cheeseburger was double smashed patties and it was a guilty pleasure to have after the slice of pizza. The burger overall was cooked just right - juicy and well melted cheese. Can't go wrong with that. Next time around I'll explore the rest of the menu. If you're in the area, check it out. It's a pretty cool chill spot for good eats /drinks and lively atmosphere.

I ordered at the Half Street location on Friday through Uber eats. Loved the 8 makes a pie but didn't love the chicken strips. Today, I wanted to place another order, but orders were not being accepted at that location through Uber eats. However, this location was accepting orders, so I ordered another 8 makes a pie. Big mistake. The cheese pizza was overcooked with very little cheese. I could tell the cheese and mushroom/onion pizza wasn't baked fresh. It was late when I ordered, and I think they just threw the last slices of pizza they had into a box. Also, there was a hair of one of the mushroom/onion slices. I won't be ordering from this location again. Also, please start taping the box shut for safety and sanitary reasons.

Andy's is fantastic and delicious authentic Neapolitan style pizza!

Unfortunately, I just can't give them my business ANYMORE...

We experienced a glitch of some kind in their online ordering system. We ordered 3 full pies online for pickup in the store. The card was charged at the time of purchase, but the order did not show up in their system until hours after the pick-up time we were quoted by that same system!

When we came to pick it up, they said the order didn't exist at all in their system. They said it must have actually ended up failing to"go through" & get processed.

They assured us that we would not actually be charged for that order. So, we just placed another order which was paid for with cash.

The young man who seemed to be in charge had agreed to look out for any orders that may come in under our name or for that particular set of items- just in case. I can only guess that his shift either ended or he forgot about that when the order finally did arrive; which ended up being about an hour after we finally got our replacement order. We had arrived late to pick up the original order and it took some time to trying to sort out what was going on with that order.

Now there is resistance to refund our original order because they are claiming that it was "abandoned" or "improperly cancelled"; even though it was also mysteriously delayed by several hours and replaced by an identical order which we placed in person and paid for with cash.

That was a couple years ago and I didn't alter my rating at the time. I'm not even sure how that actually played out because it wasn't on my card. But I had another very frustrating experience today and I have to change my rating.

Unfortunately, $$ is much more tight these days and visiting Andy's can only be a rare treat. I decided to treat myself today and ordered two slices. There were 4 slices of what I ordered. The girl picked out the two slices in the middle, which doesn't make sense to begin with... But they were also both significantly smaller than the other two slices!

I wasn't expecting both of the larger slices, and I would've been happy if she had just picked the two slices on either end (with a smaller one and a larger one). And it really pains me that this is even a big deal for me... But it is!

And to add insult to injury... When I asked if she would give me at least one of the larger slices, she just giggled & otherwise ignored me! Normally their slices are very nearly the same size, but this pie was NOT sliced into equal parts! The larger slices were truly almost twice as large as the smaller ones.

So, I just told her to cancel my order. But it's been two hours and there's still a hold on my card! And it will probably take days or over a week to get this fixed... Which means I go hungry for the rest of the day at least.

I LOVE Andy's pizza... But sadly, I can't go back there anymore and maintain my self respect. This very upsetting!

I also had a bad experience at their location in SE not too long ago. I ordered a single slice from the bartender... I asked how long it would take to hear up because I was on a short break from work. She said it would be ready in 1-2 minutes

Ten minutes later no one had even put my spice in the oven... And this was in the middle of the afternoon, so not busy! I told the bartender I couldn't wait any longer so please cancel and void my order (since NOTHING had been done).

Not only did it take over a week to get my $$ back, but I noticed that she had added a 25% tip to my bill! For carry out...!!!

I worked for many years as a waiter & bartender... Tipping is NOT expected for to-go/carry-out orders!!! The purpose of a tip (a very flawed & bizarre system) is for TABLE SERVICE! The guest is expected to occupy the table for 1-2 hours! And 15% used to be the norm for that...

25% tip for a carry out order is OUTRAGEOUS Since my order was eventually refunded I didn't even bring this up to management, although that was...

If I could give them 0 stars, I would. this place is the worst. To start the cost of the pizza was $27.50 and then they add 27% for delivery and "service charge" not even including the tip for the driver - $38 for a pizza - that's insane! Placed my order at 6:47pm - the email confirmation said it would be delivered 7:30pm - 7:40pm. At 7:50pm, I called the Noma/Streets location to find out where the pizza was. I spoke with the manager Fabian. He told me that it hadn't been picked-up yet by Doordash and that "it wasn't his problem". He said that he would contact his QA team and try to get the pick-up expedited. I asked him to remake it so that it wasn't ice cold when it got here. He was argumentative throughout the conversation - totally unacceptable. At 8:40, I called again. They let the phone ring 10 times and then disconnected - that happened three times and on the fourth attempt, somebody picked-up and said that it had just left the store at 8:38. When I asked to speak with Fabian to confirm that it had been remade, the person said that they were cleaning and preparing to close (they're open until 10:00pm) and she didn't know if it had been remade. She then said that Fabian had left for the night and I could call back tomorrow. The pizza arrived at 8:49pm - over two hours after I ordered. It was ice cold and clearly had not been remade. This is not the first time this has happened with Andy's. I'm done giving them chances to screw up my evening and you should be too! Don't...
