The location is where everything relevant to my lifestyle takes place. The concierge staff were friendly as well as welcoming. I didn’t get names but the tall,dark complexion, slim gentleman that admired my white sunglasses was unbelievably polite. You never know the storm people go through and on that day, I had encountered the darkest point of my life. His kind greeting and smile gave me something to look forward to.
Check in was super easy
The room. Ehhhhh!!!! So the heat didn’t work for the first three days out of a five or six day stay. My anemia kicked my tail on these days. I was not provided any additional linen after specifically requesting it on day 3 of my stay. I ended up going to the store to purchase detergent to wash the linens that I had already used. I was under the impression that hotel stays came with housekeeping at no additional cost but that was not the case. I was given linens after I had already washed, dried and folded the old ones. Two towels and no wash cloths. Go figure!!
On May 5, 2024 I was reunited with my twin boys and decided to extend my stay so that we could spend time together. They loved everything about the location and room. I mean everything!
There was an annoying knocking in the ceiling that started around 2 am and went on to 6am daily. Whenever I turned the water on for a shower, the utility closet made a whistling noise, which was nerve wracking. I had reported the issue and was told that maintenance would be out one day before I was to checkout. I’m all for paving the way, but how does that benefit me?
I went out onto the courtyard in hopes of using the fireplace for ambiance and nice photos. That didn’t go as planned because it didn’t work. I laid on the seating for a while and noticed that bugs were crawling on me and a friend.
If management checks the camera they’d see, me stripping down to my undies and throwing my clothes away as they were covered in worms. The pictures show dry grounds and wet grounds. I now have a rash on my face and I’m not sure if it’s from the linen or the bugs…
Update: 5/16/2024 Management reached out and asked that I reach out to discuss compensation. I did and I’ve yet to receive a refund
Update: 5/23/2024 I called this location hoping to rectify previous issues before I went to look for another booking for May 23-28, 2024. I’ll have the twins and their 10th birthday is on Monday and this is where they want to be. They’d like to visit Bowlero again as they did during their last stay, However we need to discuss the $894.96 charge for May 2-5, 2024 and the $792.17 charges for May 5-7, 2024. In the enterance there was a consierge which is working for the building management so wasnt interested in the ones coming as hotel guests. Just said “3rdfloor” and i needed to find my way around without anyone present to wellcome guests. There were parties thrown in the pool area which created a disgusting view full of alcohol and food aroud the pool which was not cleaned when i went to see the pool almost noon time. Smelling mariuhana and alcohol everywhere, full of partying youngsters and it is not suitable at all for a family. In the room AC was making a lot of noise we couldnt sleep. I paid for 31 days from 13 th of august to 13 th of september but i checked out on 17th of August. I informed the management and booking.com that i want to check out due to being unhappy about the place. But they refuse to refund my unused days. That is robbing people. I paid 31 days and stayed 4 When i booked through booking.com. there was only a term saying cancellation will be a night’s fee. There was nothing other than that. But they say they ll keep the 27 days remaining and wont refund. Like a joke today they re sending me a message saying my credit card declined a 500$ dog fee. Still trying to get more money from me. When i ask if their dog fee is 500$ they say its for 2 dogs. But i only have one dog. I dont know what kind of people managing the place . I even sent a complaint on the day one for my bad experience checking in. You can not find someone in person to help you out. You can only text back and forward and whatever you say, you only get standard messages. Nobody is trying to understand and help you. I dont know if there is a person on earth would understand holding 27 days of payment for staying 4 days and not trying to find a solution to that. Plus asking for another 500$ for 2 dogs to a one dog owner. Its a big company with a lot of properties and not managed properly. Thats a shame. Read moreAs I have feared, before booking and seeing in the reviews many times about the bedframe being unstable and broken, it has happened on the first night out of four nights of stay. I even reached out originally and called to request, confirm and make sure about the bed being intact. I should've noticed the first bad sign from the call speaking with customer service with an aggressive Indian lady not even addressing my concerns and just giving excuses about the random reviews.
Had to put the mattress on the floor because we're worried about our safety since the bed shakes and cracks from any small movement on it and would collapse. See in the attached pictures.
The communication has been the worst throughout the stay. Wasn't able to get in touch people at first not until the next morning. But then had to go through several different people, numbers and contact points, no answer most of the time, leaving messages and even with emails etc. My family are in town for a few days at all-day events until very late, so changing rooms is extremely inconvenient and not preferable. And we don't have time to call back each time since we're busy out all day. Eventually was told via text about going to their office in the same building. Went there on third day a few times and it was closed each time with sign with a number, called and just went to voicemail. In the end, was talking to at least three different people and was told about compensation for two days as we've requested it. Was told about a confirmation email about that too which I have yet to receive after several days of trip. Was told originally that the process will take at least two weeks with their billing dept. Doesn't sound to be a professional company or organization, let alone a hotel/apartment. Will update as this goes along.
