DO NOT COME HERE! We spent hundreds of dollars only to be served RAW STEAK and disgusting side dishes. Furthermore, the manager was quite dismissive of our complaints (he did comp some sides and our drinks, neither of which we touchedâ but made snide remarks throughout the evening).
Almost as soon as we sat down, we were served chicken liver pĂątĂ©. Not only is this an extremely niche choice to be serving to every customer, but upon further inspection we noticed it had an extremely strange texture, as if it had not dethawed entirely from the freezer. We ordered the âtuna tartareâ, which came out as a perfectly cubical block of tuna chunks sitting over a soupy wasabi/guacamole type mixture. I felt as if I was digging cat food out of a pond, and the taste was similar. We then received our steaks (NY strip and Ribeye) as well as sides of mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts. The Brussels sprouts were incredibly underdone, to the point where biting them was actually painful and I had to spit it out onto the plate (I am NOT one to do this at a restaurant). The mashed potatoes clearly came from a powderâ when we confronted the manager with this complaint, he did not push back to say they were not (our waiter mentioned that another table that evening and HE HIMSELF had the same observation after tasting them).
But all this pales in comparison to how my ribeye steak was prepared. I asked for my ribeye medium rare â but apparently the kitchen heard âmedium rawâ. Blatantly raw in the middle, I requested that the ribeye be thrown back on the grill to medium rare. I was then presented with a completely well-done steak (brown through and through) along with the manager. When I remarked on the doneness of the steak, he asked me to cut into a different section instead (which I did - it was also brown through and through). At this point I was just grateful that the meat I was eating was not going to be harmful to me.
Again, DO NOT DINE HERE!!! Donât take it from meâ take it from the fact that we were able to make a same-day reservation, on a Saturday night. If youâre looking for a genuine high end dining experience, look elsewhere. If you just want some steak, youâd be better served saving your money and visiting Texas Roadhouse instead (which, mind you, has vastly superior...

I went there after work with about 9 coworkers who were coming in and out for small drinks at the bar. We stayed about 4 hours, coworkers coming and going, until there were only about 4 of us. We made sure to buy drinks and food and We left a good tip (spent around $1000).
In any case, it should have been an easy, fun small after work drinks event, but the manager literally ruined our time together. As we got up to leave, we saw a black work jacket on a chair near our group. Thinking it belonged to one of our coworkers who had gone home early, we picked up the work jacket to inspect and ask if it belonged to anyone.
The manager came out screaming at one of our coworkers who was holding the jacket, and accused him of stealing her cigarettes?! My coworker tried to explain he was just making sure it wasnt one of our coworkers but she continued to scream and use profanities against my coworker saying âif you wanted a fxcking cigarette, just ask! Why are you stealing my cigarettes! Thatâs not cool!â
I was in shock but my coworker just put his hands up and said âNo. I was just checking. Sorry. Weâre leavingâ.
The woman is yelling at us to leave and we do so without fuss.
Itâs just very heartbreaking as my coworker is Black and the manager was a white woman and I canât help but feel like she had a biasness towards him. It was extremely embarrassing for him and us.
It also sucks because we have been coming to this place for drinks after work for years and now we refuse to patron this place because of how they treated our coworker.
The manager is classless.
I still donât know why she left her jacket near the table where patrons were hanging around and not in the back room with the employeesâ stuff. But whatever. Itâs K street. Nobody is coming to K street anymore and spending money on restaurants like that since COVID so you lost...
Read moreI knew the BLT brand was phenomenal because I had been to BLT burger on 6th Ave in NY many times (now closed). The burgers were the most memorable I have ever had for perfection of cooking to temperature, combination of toppings and overall presentation. BLT Steak in DC is a guarantee of exceptional quality and service so much so that you will never forget it. My husband and I like a seafood option for an appetizer and to share a steak entree with a side of vegetables. Our favorites include the 20 oz Kansas City Strip and the 20 oz NY Strip Steak with Lobster tail. We have had the oysters with Taitinger Champagne and we remember loving the Archval-Ferrer Malbec wine with our steak.
In November we indulged in world renowned steak and red wine in Argentina and thought we would be spoiled for life. I was wrong. Despite how good the steaks were in Buenos Aires' top parrilla's, we are still spoiled by BLT Steak's perfect meats. I learned from living in Japan that each bite counts; fully enjoying food is about quality, subtlety and complexity of flavor and pairings. BLT Steak is a place that every bite of any dish will be exactly that experience. A consultation with the sommelier will guarantee a perfect wine pairing.
What else is good about BLT Steak? The options of steak dipping sauces; you get to pick three to try. My expectations of a high-end restaurant is that I want to say there was something about some aspect of the food I had never tasted before and I doubt I ever will again unless I go right back there. With each steak sauce I tried, I said just that: "Can it get any better? No!" Can the bread get any better? "No!" All of the food is unforgettable here and will have you coming back for more at every...
