This is a love letter to Childhood Cafe, the team of incredible employees and the delicious treats they make. Having a local coffee shop where the baristas recognize you and even remember your name is a rare cliche, but to go to Childhood Cafe is to experience that feeling of being a local. Tucked away on a side street, this cafe lends the if you know you know sentiment. Inside you’ll find a bustling shop with happy smiling baristas pulling shots and pouring drinks, and Chefs concentrating on creating magic in the bakery. The menu includes all of the classic coffee staples, along with the most creative seasonal menu. The special combinations of beverages will be sure to entice you to try. The uncommon flavors and recipes follow through to the pastry’s that too have the classics but are lined with several flavors of homemade pop tarts, scones, muffins and more. If you’re ever strolling through the neighborhood be sure to stop in and try a fabulous espresso, matcha, or tea beverage, paired with a decadent treat. I’ve sampled nearly everything on the menu, for research purposes of course! You cannot go wrong with any choice you make. Enjoy your selection at their indoor seating, patio out front, or on the go!...

Absolutely wonderful cafe! Super cozy with a great selection of drinks and sweet treats -- sure to satisfy your inner child and any caffeine or sugar craving! I stopped by Childhood Cafe for a quick Sunday afternoon beverage, and I ended up sticking around for a couple of hours just to read and hang out. The store is quite small inside, with only a few chairs available next to a window bar, but there are a ton of tables outside for the nicer weather days. I decided to keep it simple with a plain matcha latte, but had to indulge my inner child with their banana bread. The matcha was solid, with a properly vibrant green colour and great earthy flavor, but the banana bread was to die for -- it was super soft and moist, and the perfect level of sweetness (aka not too sweet). I loved the added banana slices on top, and it made for a delicious, aesthetically appealing treat. The baristas were also super friendly and welcoming, and they walked me through all their different syrups (all of which are remarkably unique and made in-house), so I'm definitely excited to come back and try some of their...

Wanted to try this cafe on my trip to visiting my sister and happy we did! Loved their in-house pop tart, it was super yummy and their quiche was filling. Liked how they had a bunch of pastries and different versions of quiches to pick from. The inside it small and there isn't too much seating, but they do have outdoor seating with umbrellas and we decided to sit out there despite it being on the chillier side. Good cold brew, wish I was able to try some of their specials, but at the time they were reorganizing the sign so I didn't see it up when ordering. Very popular as a lot of people were coming in and out...
