Gen Café — Restaurant in Washington

The atmosphere here is a big win. I stopped here to get some work done and the benches facing the window are great. It's in a hotel so there are also private rooms/nooks you can use if you want to work in a more isolated area. My avocado toast was ok but my chai was bad, they said they used Dona Chai concentrate which is one of the best in my opinion but I'm not sure if I got the oat milk like I requested or if they put whole milk in there but it wasn't very good at all. It tasted sour and my stomach was hurting a little afterwards. I would try coming back again but only because the atmosphere is a great working environment, not because I had a great experience...

Coffee shouldn't be this fun. Hear me out. The menu is interesting. But I'm mainly looking for traditional coffee, not anything too experimental. Coffee + lemon. What kind of blasphemy? This is not a negative review at all. I'll return occasionally. But this is a post-lunch coffee shop. This is where you go when you're on vacation and need a pick-me-up. It's also not a nice place to work if you're looking to sit in a corner and isolate.

We had breakfast at this place The menu is expensive compared to to what we got I we order for the breakfast plate which came with two eggs (the young lady’s did not even ask me how do I need those eggs prepared) few pcs of potato’s , few pcs of hard bacon ( difficult to chew) which did not have bread The whole plate was room temp not at all hot The best thing it had was some avocado We also ordered for coffee and for 15 mins we did not get our coffee , we had to remind the young lady for it Total mess It would have been worth if the good would have been...
