I never leave reviews but I only went here because it was highly rated. One of the worst and most expensive sets Ive ever gotten. I almost never get my nails done but am traveling so i wanted to get a full set and pedicure. The pedicure was fine. Nothing special. The acrylic full set is one of the WORST sets I have ever seen. First, she did not trim my cuticles. Or do anything besides go right in with the dermal. I showed a few pictures of what I wanted and asked for almond short/ medium. The actual color/ paint is accurate but its so horribly done. It should just be a french tip with shimmer over. The acrylic stuck to my cuticles and has been painful to remove the nails are either too far from the cuticle or too close. The shimmer will not come off my cuticle and looks horrible. The shape of the nail is so all over the place and so lopsided and bumpy. I asked the lady doing my nails a few times to do something and she just stared at me. She put on the wrong shimmer and i told her i didn't like it and she just kept asking if it was good and staring at me and i kept saying no until she finally got up to get something else. I understand if there was language barrier but there were two workers beside her speaking english that were looking over and did nothing. Both workers kept looking at my nails and said/ did nothing. These are so bad and I cant get them off. I did file them and spent almost a whole hour trying to fix them. The last two photos show ever after filing and trimming the acrylic stuck on my finger how bad they still are. I want to cry these...

Came here as a walk-in and was promptly greeted. I live in the neighborhood but have always gone to Virginia to get my nails done. After reading some of the reviews, I decided to check out Nails by District. Lynn was the one who did my nails. I came in looking for a color that came close to Chanel’s Rouge Noir and she quickly recommended OPI’s Complimentary Wine. Her recommendation did not disappoint. She did my nails efficiently and paid close attention to detail. I got a dip manicure with extensions. The nail salon was clean and organized. They have so many colors to choose from. After today’s service I will definitely be coming back!

UPDATE (27 Mar 2024): Just came back from the nail salon and it saddens me to knock off a star for this update. The salon is nice and clean as my first visit and the staff are as welcoming. The reason I'm knocking off a star for this update is consistency. Quality of service has been inconsistent depending on the nail tech. Lynn and Yoona will do your nails perfectly each time, but i cant say the same for the other nail techs who have done my nails. Also I was charged an extra $5 for shape today - I got short almond, when the previous two times I was not charged for it at all. The nail tech failed to inform me of this charge during service and during check out. I only found out after asking for...

Total rip off. They make the prices up as they go along. You come in the day before to make an appointment and show them what you want (basically the same you have had for the last 20 years). They give you a price and the next day it is (after it is done). Oh that was extra etc etc.. Plus you ask for the same you have new just a renewal of exactly the same thing (French manicure style) they finish it you say how about the white tip they say oh you wanted that? Duh yeah that was what was on there? Besides they only talk to each other in their own language (I speak 6 but not theirs) they never speak or make conversation with the client. Expensive, not well done, they do not listen to the client (their needs) and then they overcharge...I live in the neighborhood but surely will never go back. When I made the appointment the lady said I will do it tomorrow I know exactly what you want. I had somebody else (although the lady was there) he did know what he was doing but when I said it looked weird (because it did) he seemed upset.
