Gold Clover Bar — Restaurant in Washington

I recently had the pleasure of visiting a new establishment in Shaw that opened just across the street from my residence. Having struggled to find a suitable neighborhood bar since moving here over a year ago, this venue was a welcome addition.

Upon arrival at around 11 PM on a Saturday night, I was greeted warmly by the friendly owner and a delightful bartender. The ambiance was both relaxing and tastefully decorated, creating an inviting atmosphere. The music selection was diverse, catering to various tastes with its eclectic mix and enjoyable beats.

For those who enjoy smoking, the bar features a charming beer garden, which was particularly pleasant given the perfect outdoor weather that evening.

While the bar does not offer draft beers, it boasts a commendable selection of local D.C. brews. Additionally, the array of spirits available was impressive, although I did not sample any cocktails during my visit.

In summary, I highly recommend this local gem in Shaw. It’s important to support small businesses, and this bar certainly deserves a visit for its friendly service, great atmosphere, and quality beverage selection.

I absolutely loved this bar. The bartend was incredibly friendly and welcoming. He was very happy to have a little chat. The crowd there was super friendly as well, I got into some good conversations. The drinks I had were beautifully made, a white Negroni and their house Manhatten (which included Plum wine, which was a tantalising addition). The bar itself is spaciously and nicely decorated. It's has a somewhat upmarket but comfortable feeling, with TV screens showing the sport dotted around. Would recommend this...

Gold Clover is a neighborhood gem. From the vinyl on the wall to the dimly lit bar, this place exudes an upscale yet cozy vibe. The ambiance is perfect for a relaxed evening out or a special celebration.

Shoutout to Antoine, bartender/mixologist extraordinaire! His creations never disappoint and truly set Gold Clover apart.
