This was our second visit. We made it a must to come again for our summer trip this year because we were blown away from the first visit. Cake was moist, beef patties the best Iā€™ve had, ice cream fresh and creamy however the milkshakes were a disappointment. One of my daughters had the Cookies and Cream and my other daughter the Sā€™mores, since they were out of the Birthday Cake. They stated that it didnā€™t ā€œtaste rightā€ and after I sampled it, there was a weird, burnt aftertaste. It almost tasted like blender, if that makes sense. As if maybe the motor was going bad or was burning and somehow effected the flavor of the drink. Kinda disappointing since I spent $60 for my family and I, visiting from Hampton, Virginia. But everything else was delicious.Just a bit of constructive feedback šŸ˜Š Will visit again for the ice cream and other goodies šŸ˜‹

Here's The Scoop! is the newest ice cream parlor in Washington, D.C. run by D.C. natives! It's in the Park View neighborhood in the basement of a row house close to Howard University. The inside is very small, but there are chairs outside on the patio to enjoy your ice cream.

The staff who run the shop are passionate and very friendly. They will guide you along with samples and recommend their favorites. They don't make the ice cream themselves but get it from a distributor. Despite that, it's good ice cream. I had a scoop of the campfire s'more ice cream and it was so good. They also do milkshakes, cookies, and have two fridges of Coca-Cola and Pepsi products.

Visited this wonderful little ice cream parlor on a date a few weeks ago and recently revisited for my daughter's birthday outage... the store is a wonderful quaint setting. Both employees that were there were both great and pleasant. Now for the important part I have loved every ice cream I have tried. The salted caramel is amazing, the s'mores is amazing the pumpkin pecan praline straight took me to another place amazing.
