I recently had the pleasure of dining at this amazing pizza place, and I have to say that it was one of the best dining experiences I've had in a long time! The pizza was simply out of this world - perfectly cooked crust, delicious tomato sauce, and just the right amount of cheese and toppings. It was so good that I had to order a second pizza just to try another flavor. But it wasn't just the pizza that made this place so great - the service was excellent as well. The staff was friendly and attentive, making sure that everything was to my liking and offering suggestions on what to order. They were also very accommodating to dietary restrictions, which is always a huge plus. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, with just the right amount of lighting and music to set the mood. And the prices were very reasonable, especially considering the quality of the food and service. Overall, I highly recommend this pizza place to anyone who loves great food and excellent service. I'm already looking forward to...

From the owners of beloved Heat Da Spot further down Georgia Avenue N.W. comes Ice N Slice, a takeout only food and ice cream shop. My five-year-old daughter and I went right then they opened at 11:30 a.m. on an August Friday. With a short wait, we ordered an ice cream for each of us. Here's our experience:

  1. Ice cream: They have around a dozen flavors from a Philadelphia-based ice cream company that started in 1861. Behind the glass of ice cream is a row of toppings from sprinkles to cereal. My five-year-old daughter ordered the strawberry ice cream with sprinkles in a sugar cone and I had a scoop of chocolate chip cookie dough in a cup. The ice cream was decent. The best in the city? Absolutely not, but not bad.

  2. Service: It's always so great! They are kind, efficient, and treat you like family.

  3. Space: There's an outdoor patio with several tables.

They also sell breakfast sandwiches, pizza, and a few other food items. There's street...

Listennnn! This place is filled with deliciousness!! I wish I had taken a picture of our pizza, but we forgot and started eating right away.

We got half and half, I ate the Addis Ababa and my friend had the Merkato. The Addis Ababa is a flavor combo that is simply stupendous! The cabbage and lentils were the highlight for me. I also really enjoyed the crust!

And you must, when I say must, I mean must try the "secret sauce" directly on the pizza. It takes the flavors to the next level. I also highly recommend the house made tea! More deliciousness!!

Not only is the food fantastic, the service is top tier!! It's giving family restaurant and you're always welcome here. I wish I lived in the neighborhood, so I could go regularly.

Good food takes time, so don't come here trying to rush the process. Enjoy the experience and you won't be...

Having seen Ice n Slice on Instagram, I ordered a doro wat pizza and cheese pizza for the kids. Both pizzas had a nice yeasty crust. The cheese pizza was actually very lovely. The tomato sauce was slightly sweet with a little nod to Ethiopian spices. The doro wat pizza drew us in. Obviously you can’t get much more creative (or iconically dc) than a doro wat pizza. There were pieces of chicken baked into the pizza, as well as little crumbs of feta. It was rich and succulent, heavy without being over the top. The pies held up well through the drive home to the suburbs. That being said, both pizzas were $64, which while definitely worth it, is a little steep to become a frequent occurrence.
