Washington, D.C. needs more places like Snappy’s. Far from the U.S. Capitol in a storied neighborhood, it’s a small bar with a big personality that’s inclusive of all and accessible to everybody.
Opened by a former bartender at The Dew Drop Inn, it’s open daily from 5 p.m, until very late (between 2-3 a.m.). Dimly lit, the first room with the bar is small but comes with bar seating and standing areas by the walls. There’s one booth and a popcorn maker. There’s a mural-decorated back outdoor patio with more space.
Their menu carries draft beer (there’s even a sour ale), $10 cocktails with a spin, wine, and a few snack items like popcorn and Dino nuggets. Don’t come here for dinner, but the snacks are worth your time.
It’s a kind of place that attracts all kinds of people, many looking for community. Go for an event or go with a small group of friends. It’s a place that you’ll come back to over...
Read more🚨 ‼️ 🔔 OKAAAY THIS IS THE BEST BAR IN DC!!!!!!!! Snappys is the spot DC has been waiting for — cozy vibes, great drinks, and awesome people. I would start walking out the door to go right now if I were you… It feels like you are in your best friends house and also simultaneously at a birthday party. Everyone is so damn welcoming and they treat you like family. Genuinely. When you leave everyone says ‘see you tomorrow’ no matter what even if you aren’t seeing them tomorrow🥹 !!! They also have cute eclectic art, snacks, awesome music and you can bring your dogs🤭 it’s so sweet and my new favorite hangout spot. They also have a huge outdoor backyard and I can’t wait to chill there during summer!

Like others have said, it really probably is the...
