Read moreRude service. The most expensive place for coffee and a danish on the hill. Not to mention, the owner/management are some of least friendly people I've met. I've been coming here for about 5 years, and I come back for the food (they have the best pastries around), but after a few less than tolerable interactions, I won't be returning.
For weeks I'd bought a macchiato only (around $4 which is an insane price) and after many purchases of the same item (and only that item - meaning my total was around $4 every time) I was told there has always been a $5 minimum. Your customers know when you just want to get more money out of them. Inconsistency + rudeness = a poorly conducted business.
This is all not to mention that I've seen high turn-around in the workers (there was one very friendly girl working as cashier over the summer of 2021, who promptly left) which makes sense, considering that the other workers seem to be almost always in a less than happy mood. It's clear to me that the owner is a bit of a controlling personality who seems to make the other workers almost frightened to...
Read moreThis place was a short walk from our airbnb which was great. It’s a cute little place nestled in a friendly neighborhood. My bf and I ordered bagel sandwiches and coffee and a chocolate croissant. After about 10 mins, my iced latte came out and I’d give it a 6/10. I’m a bit of a harsh latte critic but it satisfied me nonetheless. Their coffee beans have a nice flavor! We waited another 25 mins before my bf asked if they were still working on our order, since people who ordered after us were receiving their bagels. It wasn’t their fault, but a meal ticket failed to print so they weren’t even aware of our order. Luckily we had our receipt attached to my drink so they could see what we ordered. When we finally got our food, it made up for it! GET THE LOX BAGEL! I get lox bagels whenever I can, and this one was delicious!! 10/10 bagels. The employees were very apologetic and sweet about not receiving our orders but we totally understood. The place is very small though and has minimal seating, but we managed to find a spot before their morning rush. Stop here for...
