Jimmy John's — Restaurant in Washington

This place has used "freaky fast service" to prop up their marketing campains from day one. However, they've since abandoned that virtue (IMO).

Not to mention, they've raised their prices at every opportunity afforded to them. (They are not alone!) Personally (for me), they've never made it to any slot on my Top 10 list. Mostly because they refuse to add green Bell Peppers as an option on their menu. Shallow? Maybe!

This review wouldn't be complete without mentioning the following; NOWADAYS, in tomorrow's economy, eating out at any establishment is a personal choice one makes.

As fewer and fewer can't afford to eat out willy-nilly, wherever we may plop our buttons, peeps give those decisions more thought. The cost of meals themselves become more important when choosing a place to stuff our gullets. Not quality, quantity!

This next year, we will see franchised institutions go the wayside as they begin to drop like green eyed flies in a blizzard! What was once considered (establishments) too big to fail will begin to fall like dominos tearing through a house of cards! In fact, it has already begun. (STEAK N SHAKE, my longtime fave is a perfect example). Next on the list will be the imfamous chicken place we've all grown to know, as the top dog in that market. Their birds they sell have shrunk in size, along with everything else that comes packaged. Do they not have the food to feed them? No space to raise them? Or, perhaps hired a CEO that has an alternate agenda? (AS IN, INTENTIONAL SABATOGE?) IF SO, AND THAT'S THEIR AIM, THEY ARE WAY OVER PERFORMING ON THIS ONE, GIVE THAT CEO AN AWARD! WELL DONE!

We haven’t eaten at Jimmy John’s in years. I always liked it before but Saturday evening was a different story. We were traveling, tired and hungry and stopped at JJ in Washington, MO. I remembered in the past I had ordered the “turkey slim”. Didn’t see it on the menu so I asked if that was still available. The young lady mumbled something, I couldn’t understand her. My boyfriend then placed his order and she couldn’t understand him. There is something running, a/c, ventilation? Idk but between mumbles and whatever was running there was definitely a lack of communication. My boyfriend told her to make both of ours the combos to include drinks and chips. It was self serve. We didn’t know which cup to choose so we chose the smaller ones. Our sandwiches were wrapped and slid over to us. No bag, no chips, no communication, no thank you or have a nice day. We got to the car, opened our food…..mine was just turkey on bread. No condiments, no cheese, nothing but turkey. My boyfriend’s sandwich was loaded down with goodies. I scraped some of his toppings onto my sandwich. He didn’t request any toppings either but thankfully he got some. My sandwich was edible but not enjoyable at all. Either this company is miserable to work for or those people are just miserable with the exception on one employee. A young couple came in after us while we were waiting and another young lady took their order. She was engaged with her customers and I could hear her offering suggestions from where I was sitting. She might be the only employee...

JUL2025-Well, 2 years ago I reviewed, so I tried them again. The $10 BLT was even lamer than a Subway sandwich. I didn't think anyone was more stingy with their ingredients, but I was proven wrong.............. MAY2023Asked for a Little John Combo. In response to what kind of sandwich, the guy said they couldn't do the Lulu, and I told him I had never been to Jimmy John's so I didn't know that. He said the Little John had to be a sandwich of 1 through 6 on the board, so I said a Turkey Tom. I was charged extra for cheese, but NOT given the combo meal that I asked for... just the sandwich. I just left w/o saying anything... cuz, I won't be going back. The guy asked me when I was paying if I was a rewards member, even though earlier I told him I had never been to Jimmy John's before... So obviously he was barely paying attention to what I said. Must be why he didn't do the combo that I asked for. After all that, the sandwich was Subway quality or less so I don't know what they are bragging about. Particularly, the bread was hard and chewy. It certainly wasn't all that and a bag of chips (& a drink), since THAT would have made the combo meal I asked for and they...
