Super 8 by Wyndham Washington — Hotel in Washington

This is a late post but my husband, daughter and I stayed back around February or March 2018. As soon as we got in our room that night it smelt like cigarettes and the window was cracked to help get rid of the smell..I was like okay this kind of sucks but I wasn't expecting a fabulous room. I liked the decor on the walls it looked new. I layed my sleeping daughter on the bed and then lifted the corner of the mattress to see if it was clean and saw brown stains under the matress and I immiddilty set the mattress back down and said out loud to my husband " okay i'm just going to not look around we are only staying here for the night; ignorance is bliss", right after I say this a Bed Bug crawls past my daughter I yelled for my husband to catch it and he does under a plastic up from the room I grab my daughter and we take all our stuff and run out of the room hoping no bugs got in our belonings. I had never seen a bed bug before but it looks like a large tick. We took it to the front desk and gave the lady the bug. She was nice but it was just awkward there is not much you can say to a customer who hands you a bed bug from their room. She refunded us our money back. We went to the super 8 motel in Union and checked for bed bugs and was very happy to find the room clean so we could sleep and luckly we did not end up with bed bugs. When I arrived I had my doubts due to the attitude of the front desk staff. However, upon entering the room, I was impressed with the cleanliness, spaciousness of the area, and the ease of access to everything. The next morning I spoke with front desk staff and she corrected the problem I had with the previous staff (put my rewards into the computer). Breakfast was very good and the area was exceptionally clean. Bed was comfortable and clean as well. I know from many experiences that you cannot judge an entire place by the staff you deal with first.

I stayed because of family in the hospital and an early morning appointment for myself.

The employees were nice and the bed was comfortable. The look of the room was nice and looked upgraded in style. Everyday our keys stopped working and we had to go back to the front desk to get them reset. Almost every shower towel had hairs in it and in the picture posted is like a rust stain. We were not informed there would not be maid service because of Covid. After the 2nd day of no towels we asked and were informed of such. If this was the case they should have taken the sign out of the bathroom that talks about getting maid service. I also posted that picture.
