Where do we begin with this absolutely subpar service for one when we walked in it felt like the waiter kind of had an attitude we were seated outside. It took them a minute to get us water and silverware when we got the silverware they were dirty so we asked fresh silverware to our first server. After about 20 minutes. We still have not received our silverware so we asked to get silverware and straws for the drink drinks because the cups were dirty she said I’ll be right back and straws before the manager brought it out to us. It shouldn’t take us three times for 25 minutes before we can get silverware and straws, especially being that they were all dirty. Anyway we had to use plastic silverware for food now, let’s talk about the food. The food would’ve been perfect for a bake oven kitchen set that you get for Christmas because it was so small if you are on a diet this is the absolute perfect place for you if you hate Yourself and like wasting money, this is the absolute perfect place for you. The waffle was half of an Eggo. I’m not even kidding attached. I’m not even someone that typically eats a lot of food served a gigantic meal, but this was so subpar. I literally was hungry afterwards and had to eat somewhere else only for us to get inside and realize that the overpriced waffle and the overpriced egg that had been ordered was just prepackaged frozen food that popped out of the plastic bag put in the oven for 30 seconds parentheses the food was still cold parentheses and then then served it to us on a very subpar plate. imagine going to spend 30 something dollars on prepackaged astronaut food. also to say you had a French brunch that was not even a French, but brunch ratatouille ate more than that on a daily basis you’ll leave here being more hungry then you came in. The white staff and the manager also knew that this restaurant that they work out is complete sham because the waiter kept telling us that if we have an issuing complaints to the manager. we didn’t see a point to because what are they gonna do? Give us an extra frozen waffle to take home if you’re looking for a place that serves breakfast waffles and eggs please save the extravagance for a spot and go to IHOP.
And do the waffle tasted like a croissant waffle it was really sugary so if you’re not a big fan of sweet food, you might not like it. I ordered a side of berries and one boiled egg. If you look at the video attached, the berries were literally 12 berries total no exaggeration, they could all fit in my hand and I could pop them in my mouth.
And the craziest part of the entire experience is that we waited over 35 minutes to get served food that we barely took 3 minutes to eat the entire service and the entire weight staff. The entire experience did not feel worth the price worth the wait and worth the hunger that we fell afterwards if you’re going to end up eating breakfast because you want to eat here you’re better off just eating at home, or at the second spot.
After eating our 35 minute weighted, three minute devoured food, we then had to wait ages for our waiter to come back to us for us to get the bill so much so to the point where we just went inside and paid at the register because the wait once again Outweigh the amount of service that we are receiving in the entire 45 minutes in the establishment we interacted with our server for two minutes. and they were not even busy they were only about four tables being served with four different servers so the holdup did not make sense for this...
Read moreAlways liked Le Pain Quotidien for the concept and freshness of the food. However the prices are outrageous. I visited this LPQ today and had a sub-par salad comprised of mostly dry arugula with zucchini noodles and Pad Thai seasonings for $12.99, had to pay $3.99 extra for a few slices of chicken on top. I had a small glass of lemonade ice tea half of which was ice. No bread, no sides, no coffee or dessert. The tab came to $25 with tax and tip. Even in pricey downtown DC this really gets me. My other disappointment was the service. Granted, I walked in at the height of the lunch service and the place was busy. But it's not an excuse for rudeness to customers. The server handed me a menu and came to take my order less than 5 minutes later. I had gotten a phone call and was talking on the phone. She leaned across the table asking what I wanted, forcing me to put my call on hold, and she clearly was not going to spend more than 2 minutes taking that order. Extremely rude. She brought my food and the bill came 2 minutes after I started eating. I saw that she kept looking over at me to check when I was going to take out my credit card. Rude again. Didn't ask if I wanted anything after my salad, coffee or dessert. At these prices one can and should expect better. I certainly do. Don't think I'll be back. Le Pain Quotidien is a big corporation and they emphasize profit over quality and service in many locations...
Read moreService was the worst I have ever experienced. We sat down and waited over 30 minutes for the waitress to come to our table. There was no order in how people got service. We even let her know we were ready to order and she turned around and went to a different table that walked in 15 minutes after us. Very annoying so we left. On the way out of town we walked by again when they weren’t busy, thinking that we would give them another chance. We were just getting coffee, a couple premade treats to go for the ride home and a half loaf of bread. In the middle of ordering the guy stopped us from ordering to take another order since they were one person not a family of four. When he returned to us I told him what loaf of bread is wanted since some loves were clearly burnt. He turn and tells me they are all the same bread and I could have this one. I told him I wanted the other one since that one is over done. He ignored me and game be the burnt one. I have been to other LePain Quotidine’s before in different cities and never had a problem, they are usually really good but this experience was horrible twice in one day. I have never written a bad review before but this one is...
