On a recent trip passing through Kingston for a concert, I stumbled upon Los Tres Compadres, a cozy Mexican spot that turned out to be a delightful surprise. This family-owned taqueria offers authentic flavors in a casual, welcoming atmosphere—perfect for a quick bite before the show. I opted for their street tacos, and they were nothing short of amazing. The chicken was juicy and perfectly seasoned, while the pork tasted fantastic. Paired with their house-made salsas—green and red options that pack just the right kick—and a squeeze of lime, these tacos rivaled any I’ve had from a big-city food truck. The service was friendly and fast, ideal for a pre-concert stop, and the staff even checked in to ensure everything was spot-on. The vibe inside was colorful and relaxed, with reasonable prices that won’t break the bank. Though the menu isn’t massive, it’s thoughtfully curated, offering burritos, enchiladas, and more, all made with fresh ingredients. My only wish? That they stayed open later for post-concert cravings! If you’re passing through Kingston—whether for a concert or just a quick meal—Los Tres Compadres is a must-visit for taco lovers seeking authentic,...
Read moreMy roommate and I order food form this delicious restaurant often. I love their chicken tacos, mostly I order the taco salad. The salad comes with so much good veggies that my mom orders it no meat. So it can also be vegetarian friendly and still feel like a real full meal. Their desserts are also fantastic, I haven't tried the fried ice cream, but I am looking forward to it. I just want to sit in the restaurant and eat it.
I have literally no negative things to say at all! The customer service is great, they are so kind and the food is amazing. The price is perfect for quality and quantity, normally my fam spend easy $90 normally. The most we have spent here is $70. So much better for the pocket book, especially if you love their tacos(under $2).
I told a friend I loved this places tacos and the next day I received a voicemail from her sibling thanking me for the suggestion. So that should give you an idea. If you want good food in Kingston I highly recommend Los...
Read moreThat photo is me throwing away half my plate. Based on all the other positive reviews, I was quite excited to try this place. This was an absolute disaster, easily one of the worst burritos I’ve ever eaten in my life, it was greasy the meat was full of gristle, and no care was taken with building it. For $15 I expected something at least as good as chipotle.
To add insult to injury however, I was in a bit of a rush. The server told me it would only be a couple of minutes. As the 20 minute mark approached, I was losing patience, especially as I had seen plenty of other food going out the door. The server suddenly magically found my order; it was hard and stone cold. I told her so, and she assured me the guy had just wrapped it. If you’re going to lie to me about screwing up my order, and only offer to reheat it (because hot avocado, so delish) rather than fix it you get a one star...
