Never had a lobster roll, so not much to judge it by, but I do know what a good meaty sandwich looks like. This one, I added extra lobster which cost more obviously. I always thought a lobster roll was two buns like a sandwich so not sure if they split the bun the way they do it is true style or just to make it look like you getting more lobster. Overall it was good, but left me still wanting more meat. Also, the tip thing is getting out of hand and I noticed the way it defaults to 15% or 20%...can't remember but the dude up front is just taking your order so you don't need to tip him much if at all. We got the bar harbor lobster roll with the lobster tail and the lobster salad (which we actually both liked more! Felt more substantial in a way with the different flavors and textures). Making it a combo with chips and drinks, we had a solid dinner and enjoyed ourselves. It is a pricier meal for a casual place, but good food is good food. We would come back! The lady who took our order was also so friendly and welcoming. She took the time to describe the menu since it was obvious it was our...
Read moreBest lobster rolls we've tried in the DC/Nova area, hands down. We came here the other day and ordered the Connecticut Style lobster roll (I got the Bar Harbor - 59% more lobster and my gf got the regular) and both were delicious. From the roll, to the quality and preparation of the lobster (not overcooked), to the butter sauce -- everything was 5 stars. I don't think the Bar Harbor -- at least in our case -- had 50% more lobster meat (I think it was closer to 30% more) but I tried both and the points above were valid/consistent across both lobster rolls. The dill pickle was also fresh and a nice...
