A Taste of Modern Mexican Paradise at Mi Vida
★★★★★ (5/5 stars)
From the moment you step into Mi Vida, it's clear this isn't your average Mexican restaurant. The space strikes a perfect balance between contemporary elegance and authentic charm, with thoughtfully curated decorations that transport you straight to Mexico while maintaining a modern flair.
Ambiance The interior design deserves special mention—beautifully decorated with attention to every detail, creating an atmosphere that's both sophisticated and welcoming. The lighting creates the perfect mood for any occasion, whether it's a romantic dinner or gathering with friends. What truly sets Mi Vida apart is that this attention to ambiance extends to their outdoor seating area as well, offering a picturesque setting that doesn't compromise on style or comfort.
I was particularly impressed by how impeccably clean every aspect of the restaurant was, from the dining areas to the restrooms—a detail that speaks volumes about management's commitment to excellence.
Service The staff at Mi Vida elevates the dining experience to another level. Everyone I encountered was not just friendly but genuinely attentive, striking that perfect balance of being available without hovering. Their knowledge of the menu was impressive, and recommendations were spot-on. This level of service makes you feel valued as a guest rather than just another customer.
Food Now, onto the star of the show—the food! Mi Vida's modern take on Mexican cuisine is nothing short of amazing. Each dish showcases authentic flavors with contemporary presentation and occasional creative twists. The ingredients tasted fresh, the portions were generous, and the flavors were bold yet balanced.
Value A wonderful surprise was discovering that Mi Vida participates in InKind, offering an additional discount that makes this premium dining experience even more accessible. It's refreshing to see a restaurant of this caliber participating in such programs.
Final Thoughts Mi Vida has undoubtedly earned a spot on my list of favorite restaurants. The combination of stunning ambiance, exceptional service, and outstanding food creates a dining experience that's truly memorable. I've already made plans to return and cannot recommend it highly enough to anyone looking for an elevated Mexican dining experience.

Read moreLet me first say, the drinks here are GREAT! The food isn’t bad either and the place is aesthetically beautiful, but here is my reason for the 3 stars.
This is my third time going to Mi Vida, my second time for happy hour. I came to happy hour after work with a group of friends. The bar downstairs was full and the other bar upstairs had not yet been opened. We were offered the patio which is covered and heated and we were fine. But when more people began to arrive they stated they had a 2 hour limit for parities 4 and over. (Again, fine but why the 2-hr limit when we would have sat at the bar without the time limit had there been space available?) The staff heavily rushed us during the time we were there. They also did this when I had dinner with them with a party of 5 during a previous time but I wanted to give this place another chance.
During our time there the restaurant was NOT crowded and the patio was nearly empty but the staff kept reminding us of our time cap. We decided to go upstairs and downsized our party in doing so. The bar was open (it opens at 5pm) but there was no seating. Some people in my party sat at a table. Others stood at the bar. We were then told that we needed to put our bags at the hostess area downstairs (I assume they were taking up too much space at our table?). Two separate waitresses came and said that the tables surrounding us were going to be seated. Again, the restaurant was NOT busy and the tables remained empty for another 45mins. It seemed they really wanted us out for the nonexistent crowd (really the “crowd” was at the 2 bars).
This place is great if you have a party no larger than 4 or if you get a seat at the bar. If you are trying to go hang out it with friends, you’ll have great drinks but prepared to be rushed even if they aren’t busy. I don’t hate the restaurant, maybe it’s just this particular location. (The place is...

My husband and I have been regular patrons of this restaurant, having visited at least four times and always enjoying their “Sabores de Mexico” fixed-price menu for two, priced at $45 each. We’ve come to appreciate the flavor and atmosphere, making it one of our favorite spots.
However, our recent visit on the Saturday before Easter Sunday was disappointing. We invited a lovely couple to join us, and knowing that the “Sabores de Mexico” menu is a minimum for two, we ordered two. Having been here multiple times, we are very familiar with the typical portion sizes and expected servings.
To our surprise, the portions served to us looked identical to what we usually receive for just two people — which, frankly, felt inadequate for four. I chose not to raise the issue at the moment to avoid upsetting our guests, but I left feeling disappointed and a bit cheated, especially given the $600 we spent for the four of us.
While the food was still good, the portion sizes did not align with our previous experiences nor with the value we expected for the price paid. It’s unfortunate, because this restaurant has been one of our favorites, but this experience has left us hesitant about returning.
We hope the management takes note of this inconsistency so future guests can enjoy the true value and generous portions...
