Sad to say this place didn’t live up to the hype. It was slightly busy but not overwhelming. We were greeted by a friendly man who sat us. He said a server would be with us shortly but wasn’t sure which server it would be. 5 minutes later he returned to take our drink order and assured us a server would be there soon. After repeated attempts to attract a servers attention, and watching other new arrivals get served and have their orders taken, 25 minutes had passed before a server finally stopped at our table to take our order. My wife and I decided to just order appetizers only. He said it shouldn’t take more than 10 minutes. He also was confused to simple questions about the appetizers. My drink was also dry at the time he took my order and I had put it on the edge of the table when he walked up assuming he would take care of it. Without exaggeration, 30 minutes had passed before he returned to our table again. This time we had paid attention to him and his whereabouts and most of it was behind the counter talking with other servers, not giving any customers any attention at all. When he delivered the food, he turned to leave when we had to stop him and ask him for silverware, napkins, and a refill. He came back apologizing for his bad service offering excuses as to how busy the rush was. As we looked around we saw about 1/2 the tables were seated at and half empty. He went back behind the counter and continued to hang out with other servers. We finished our food without seeing him again. My plate was empty a good 10 minutes before he made his way back to us. By this point my wife begged me not to leave a tip. She absolutely hates it when I leave any tip at all for bad service and she agreed this is the worst service we’d had in 2022. Usually even with bad service I’ll still leave a 10% because I believe a worker is worth his wages but this time I agreed to not leave any tip at all. Hoping this is just a one off issue with this place because the general reviews don’t...

Used to love to bring my family here for weekend brunches. Depending on who the chef is, the french toast is usually spot on with the custard. In addition, I've been using the spot for a meeting and we come biweekly. We come before lunch hour when the place is very, well, "open," and we have a chess board.
Given that the place isn't very occupied before lunch hour, and that we eat along with our game, we've always used two tables - one for the board, one for the food. It wouldn't really work on one table. Over the last couple weeks, management has suddenly become incredibly unreasonable and rigid in demanding that we sit on a single table because the elites from the Omni across the street will need the spaces. I'm a super considerate/polite person and wouldn't come within a mile of inconveniencing another person. Again, we respectfully suggested that if the place began to fill up at all we'd be fine to move to a single table. They said it's policy and that then they'd need to give everyone two tables (even though not everyone will have more materials that may take up more tables). Then I asked whether we could sit outside and was told, "sure, that's fine." Wow...they could have simply avoided this issue altogether and told us that there was an alternative before making it incredibly difficult/sour to continue being loyal customers.
Maybe I'll still visit the one at the Cathedral, which is pretty cool, but there's just no need to deal with the unreasonable, rigid, unfriendly management. There is one server who is great, wish I could remember her name, and I think the food is still good - want to be totally fair about that. Just a strange situation to over-accommodate the elites across the street - arguably I get that - but who don't even end up filling the place, while essentially trying to push out loyal customers who are flexible about the...
Read moreI just left this place after having food with a friend. The food was decent but the service could’ve been better. The server called me sweetie and sweetheart during the entire seating. His demeanor changed as we continued to interact with him. He started off as friendly and a little flirty with me. I ignored him and focused on placing my order. He assured me that he knew the menu well & shared that the mimosa pitcher was $24. The price really wasn’t a big deal but he actually shared the wrong amount. When I let him know he wasn’t apologetic and was actually kind of rude. He also was rude when I explained that he brought out the wrong sauce for my wings and that our second mimosa order was wrong. His responses were quick and nasty. He also lied about comping some of the food items off my bill as well. When I tried to clarify that my friends items were off of my bill he said that they were. He repeatedly said he had taken them off, but he didn’t. He told me “I did take them off sweetheart”. Which came off as condescending. The only thing he had comped was my friends hash brown square and her mimosa pitcher. The pitcher was comped because we witnessed one of the bartenders put his fingers in his nose and return to working without washing his hands. Overall it was a uncomfortable experience and I wouldn’t recommend anyone come here. This is my second time being here & each time the same man was rude and nasty. I doubt I...
