Potbelly — Restaurant in Washington

Remember, this is not the only show in town! Food was decent. My experience: After a few minutes deciding what my little group wanted, part of the order was placed. The gentleman taking the order promptly left to begin making sandwiches for previous custs. About 5mins into it he realized maybe I wasn't done ordering. As he returned to ask me he approached me as though I was a new customer?!? The shake maker girl still hadn't made the shakes. They forgot about the soup I originally ordered! The girl at the register apparently was in a mood. When she started ringing me up she seemed to feel I was bothering her by restating what my order was supposed to include. My shake was made...without the whipped cream and cherry, although I specifically asked for that. After paying I asked the register girl to please add the whipped cream and cherry. You would have thought I asked her to remake the shake. Was not at all customer friendly. No thank you, no smile, no nothing but attitude. After this she wanted to know what I was waiting for...she realized the 2 chocolate shakes still hadn't been made. All of this took about 15mins. Total disorganization. No flow. Hit and miss as to getting what we ordered. The young lady behind me seemed perturbed at having to ask for things as well. Come on people...it's all about...

I was visiting from Toronto Canada and on the evening of May 11th after having dinner we went to this establishment believing it may have tea and dessert. The female staff was rude, unhelpful and very condescending. I know I was in the USA and tea to her may mean iced tea but we believe she knew we meant hot cup tea because my partner later told me they snickered and chuckled as we left. I write these reviews all the time and rarely if ever leave bad reviews because with the number of views I get on my profile my wish is not to negatively impact any business but her actions was uncalled for. My hope is that management can retrain all staff and let them know they are the front line face of the business and to treat customers with the same respect and service they would expect for themselves. We will be visiting Washington again and definitely visiting this same area but Potbelly will not be on our list for...

I love Potbelly's but this particular shop always has problems. I have yet to have a good experience here. I would rather go to one farther away just because this store never has it together. Once someone made me an entire different sandwich then what i had ordered so i had to wait for it to be remade. Another time they had no cookies available at all ( minor inconvenience but still valid issue), and every time i go they never have the mac and cheese. Yhe final straw tho was when i placed an order thru door dash and they had to cancel my entire order cause they were having trouble processing it. Mind u they didnt let door dash know there was a problem till the time it was supposed to be delivered. At this point im done with this shop. I wish there was another one in the city this close to me, but i guess ill just have to drive a bit further if i want...
