The dining room is pretty, and the food was unobjectionable (though not particularly great), but our service was awful.
First, the restaurant had no booster seats, only a high chair--which was not really what my 3-year-old needed. It worked out OK, but you rarely see a restaurant nowadays that doesn't offer both high chairs and booster seats. Another black mark in the kid-friendly department was the mini-hamburgers on the children's menu: the buns were miniature, but the patties were simply one full-sized patty cut into halves, which didn't really fit the buns.
Our server forgot to take drink orders for my son and me (the other adults were drinking wine already by that point); the hostess came by and got milk for my son, but when I asked about a drink for me, she told me the server would take my drink order, and when I noted he hadn't actually done so, and asked her to ask him about it, she ignored me. For the impression I got, she might as well have said, "It's not my job." The server did finally take my order 15 minutes or so later, but after that, he didn't offer to refill either my son's milk or my soft drink until the meal was nearly over. And all of this while the restaurant was nearly deserted--so it's not like the staff was overwhelmed.
As we were about to leave, I needed to change my son's diaper, and discovered no changing station in the first (small, unisex) restroom I found. I asked the hotel concierge where I could change him, and he gave me directions to the men's room...and as I was trying to process those, he added "You're welcome," seemingly indicating that I should have said "Thank you" already. In any case, thanks would have been undeserved, because the restroom lacked anywhere to change a diaper. Indeed, my wife then discovered that the women's room lacked a changing stand as well, though at least there was a couch...
Read moreWhile staying at the Omni, I had quite a few meals at this restaurant given it's conveniently located within the hotel and the prices weren't as bad as some other hotel restaurants. Seating was always very fast and all the hosts were very friendly. It did take a little bit for servers to come by to take orders, but I did get my orders in eventually. When I first went for dinner they brought some bread, which was hands down the best bread I've ever been served in a restaurant, and I knew if they got the bread right that the food would be just as good. The burger I ordered was delicious and was perfectly seasoned. The waitress who served me gave me a tip on how to save some money on the meal too, so I was able to save quite a bit on my meal, which was nice. For breakfast, I would have liked to see a buffet, but the waffle I ordered was delicious. The ambiance here was also nice. At night the restaurant is a more upscale environment, while in the day things are much more casual. The historic decor of the vintage hotel surrounds you as well. Overall this was a great restaurant and if you're staying at the Omni I recommend stopping by at least once for the...

We had the pleasure of celebrating Mother's Day Brunch at this wonderful establishment this year, and I must say it exceeded our expectations. The variety of delicious and visually appealing food items catered to every palate, even satisfying the pickiest members of our family. No one could find a reason to complain!
I want to specifically highlight the exceptional service provided by Darryl, who truly saved the day for us. Due to a mix-up, our reservation made through OpenTable was mistakenly scheduled for the breakfast seating. Despite the restaurant being incredibly busy, Darryl kindly accommodated our family by squeezing us into the later brunch seating. His professionalism and kindness were remarkable, and we felt like he must wear a cape when he's not at work!
We cannot thank Darryl and the entire staff enough for making our Mother's Day celebration memorable. We highly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking top-notch service and a fantastic...
