For slices, pick up: update May 25 2024 Server: Audrey C, Check #67 Time: 3:02PM Had a bad experience on this day. Came to get some slices. No selection of slices besides pepperoni. They were jot busy at all, so I asked how long for pizza to be made. She told me it would take 15 to 20 minutes. I ordered the 12 inch margarita. We waited for 20 minutes and then asked if the pizza was ready. Another server, a young man this time said he would check. Then he got the original server and she said she would look into it and she said oh it’ll be another 5 to 10 minutes. then we heard them talking with each other and it turns out that they had forgotten to put the pizza in the first time but wouldn’t up to it. It ended up taking half an hour to get the pizza. They could have told us what happened (that they forgot) and simply apologized but they tried to cover it up. Bad customer service. So they gave us the pizza and then the pizza was NOT SLICED lol. I did not realize this until an hour later when I was no longer near the pizza place. Was on the road with no pizza slicer. So, I had to fold the pizza over sort of like calzone and eat it like that. Prior to this, this was my favorite pizza place used to always talk about going. There is always a great positive thing because I’ve had great experiences in the past for picking up slices. it’s really frustrating because now when my wife and I think this place this is what we think about how frustrating it was just to try to get some slices or pizza. I hope you guys can resolve the issues that you have with the servers in the slices pick up area. Including pic of the NOT SLICED pizza 🤣 I had tipped a bit when I ordered and wish I hadn’t, they definitely don’t deserve a tip for this. For dine in in 2023: Amazing service and some of the best pizza my family and I have had. Thank you!

They were swamped the Thursday we dropped in. We were offered two bar seats or a 20-min. wait. We opted for bar service. Bartender Ashley pulled double duty, expertly holding down the fort without ever getting impatient. She was efficient, conscientious, & friendly, keeping us apprised of how long our Detroit style pizza would be & letting us know, by the minute, that they would be a little later than normal. They were low on staff, so only the American pizzas were available. They didn't have enough people to work the wood-fired oven out front for Italian style pizzas. I wasn't sure about the pizza, though. Pictures of the tomato sauce made me worried: it looked gloppy & sweet. After only 25 minutes, our rectangular squares came out, with tomato sauce covering the pizza in waves, crust looking slightly fried. I could taste the tart, savory, naturally sweet tomato sauce, appreciate the stretchy, milky cheese, pops of rich pepperoni with orange grease still oozing, & the nicely tangy -- not too much -- airy sourdough in the thick, even crumbed crust. Perfection. It was some of the best pizza we've ever had. Sourdough bakers know how hard this is to pull off & Willy did it. We'd heard about this place for years & wanted to try for ourselves. We even drove two hours from Lacey just for this pizza (on a visit from Idaho). So glad we did. Truly a bucket-list event. Special props to Ashley behind the bar, who had to do the work of 10 people. She whipped up drinks, checked orders, & made us all feel welcome, without breaking a sweat or breaking down. She needs several raises, as she saved the restaurant with her hospitality, getting several jobs done.

I'll admit I was skeptical when I saw it on the map. But as soon as I walked in, I knew it was a hotspot. It was packed, which is a great sign. We luckily didn't have to wait long to be seated, it was a louder atmosphere but it was extremely upbeat. It took a little bit to get service after seating, which was expected with how busy it was. They have a large variety of pizzas that come in different sizes and crusts. We went with the Sicilian Carnivore (meat lovers) and the New Yorker (supreme) and a salad. They are bigger pizzas so it takes a little longer to get them out. But once they got the pizzas out, it was on and it was good. The first bite blew my mind. I love deep dish pizza and it was every bit as good as I was hoping for. The Sicilian can feed 4-6 and it's essentially 16 pieces of pizza for 28$. That's a great deal for a great pizza. It beats out anything you'd get from Westside or Seabeck pizza places in the area. I'd definitely recommend and intend on returning to this location many times in the future. It's very conveniently placed just before the ferry terminal, so whether you're on your way to Edmonds, or coming over to Kingston it's right there to start, continue, or finish your day. Nice job Willies! 20 out of 10!

My bf and I were SUPER excited to try this pizza place, which is not necessarily close to our home. We looked at the menu the night before and picked out what we were going to eat. However, when we actually tried to order the things we wanted, they were out of EVERYTHING. Every single item. Most popular crust? Out. Award winning pizza? Out of half the toppings. Anything with Italian sausage? Also out. Ceasar salad? Out of lettuce?!? When we got home and shared our experience with family, we were told they had experience similar problems but thought it was a fluke. And we watched as waitress after waitress sat people down with the menu, walked away, let them pick out their food, and then proceed to tell them the restaurant has nothing they want. How can a restaurant operate this way? Meats I understand coming from a specific supplier, but lettuce?! You can’t go to Grocery Outlet or Safeway down the street and buy and wash and chop some lettuce? This was my indicator that probably everything is pre-packaged and the cooks are unable to prep or cook anything themselves - they simply assemble. This was confirmed when the salad I ordered surprisingly came with pesto (and I’m allergic to tree nuts) so the waitress had to check the ingredients for pine nuts - and she returned with a photo of the bottle of pesto they use 😒

The idea of driving away and having to try to find something else when we came hungry and prepared was not going to happen without a hangry fit. So what I can say is we had to order a caprese salad in place of the Caesar, which was the most basic caprese I’ve ever seen. Like caprese salad 101, a child could have been slapping it together in the back. The only thing that saved the experience was the actual pizza, which we had to order Detroit-style and the BBQ chicken pizza since it was one of the only ones they had. I can’t lie, the pizza was delicious. It just wasn’t what we actually wanted and I doubt after this experience we’ll ever risk coming back to be extremely disappointed again.

I did wait overnight before posting this review in the hopes I would get over my experience, but I woke up still thinking about it this morning and want to keep other people from being as...

More often than not, the pizza here is terrific, but that doesn't make up for my consistent issues. The restaurant appears to suffer from chronic understaffing and undertrained employees, resulting in frequent order pick-up delays. Additionally, they utilize Toast for their ordering system and digital reward points. Over time, I accumulated a substantial number of points, totaling over $200, but could not redeem them due to some unknown issue.

After discussing this problem with various staff members, one eventually suggested I visit on a Saturday, assuring me they would find a solution. Upon returning on the specified Saturday and placing an order, the staff redeemed my points, leaving me with 0 points on my account! I was happy they resolved the issue; however, this satisfaction was short-lived, as I faced difficulties when attempting to redeem my accumulated $110 worth of points over the following months.

On my last visit, I politely explained my situation to my waitress, who was kind, and, with the patience of everyone at my table, we collaborated to troubleshoot the issue together. We even noted the absence of a manual entry option for loyalty cards in their system. I exchanged contact information with the waitress, who texted me that they “will make sure this issue is resolved.” In response, I said, “Thank you for helping to resolve this.”.

Regrettably, the next day, I received a call from the owner, Will, who failed to resolve the issue and requested that I remove my negative review. He said I “laid into the staff” despite our courteous behavior throughout the ordeal. Such a request to remove a review without addressing the underlying problem is inappropriate, as is the unjustified criticism of a customer.

I never imagined reaching this point, but the pizza is no longer worth the...
