Ok I realize it’s Vashon so, my expectations were not very high ( not Seattle) All things considered, we walked in on a very slow evening and the “bartender” if you can call him that was nowhere to be found, however when he finally surfaced we were greeted with what I consider a “oh great-Eye roll-more annoying customers” I get it. I’ve been in the service industry, it can be a thankless job at times. Back to my story… Our host brought us our beverages promptly (we were 3 of 9 patrons) at this point I attempted to squeeze my fruit into my cocktail and noticed that the lemon and lime were what I can only describe as rotten, complete mush, Rookie move. Naturally I set it next to my cocktail and decided to go without fruit-no biggie, it happens. At this point the rest of my party wanted to move to a table rather than the outer bar area. I didn’t notice but had left the lemon and lime wedge (basically compost) on the bar top. Moments later the (bartender) ? shouted across the bar “hey, if you aren’t gonna use this, don’t leave it here, throw it away”. Ha! Are you serious? I quickly snapped back “oh, sorry I didn’t get the memo, you need to post a sign for folks that get served rotten fruit” needless to say this “bar tender” was taken aback and had no reply to my response. I never leave reviews but this one had to made public. Sorry guy at Sportys but you asked for this review… The great lady that was with us has been on Vashon for nearly 40 years and knows a lot of locals including the owner. In conclusion I will say that you never know who you are serving and if you can’t handle the industry which includes quality control and customer service, I suggest you find...
Read more👎👎 0 Stars, lucky I am forced to use 1 star. Ordered Poorboy sandwich, what a mistake. The hoagie roll was sliced to thin on the bottom. It was left in the order window for more than 10 minutes allowing it to get very soggy on the bottom. The lettuce and tomatoes were layed under the sandwich👎 allowing more soggy action to develop long term. Nobody ever asked how my meal was.👎Had to ask for silverware and napkin well after I received my meal.👎 I only ate 1/4 of it before giving up on this poorly cared for and made sandwich.👎 Pushing it away to the edge of the bar virtually uneaten. Wasn't asked for a box. 👎 (didn't need one) American cheese melted on a poorboy is not standard and not for me. Didn't recall if that was detailed on the menu, doubt it or I would of requested another type of cheese. Then waited forever for the check and never got it.👎 Then walked to register stood there without anyone asking what I needed for another long period of time.⏰️Overall a terrible dining and service experience.😡Being busy is not a reasonable excuse for any of these...
Read moreWent there for a quick breakfast yesterday. It took them 30 minutes to give me water and we have to ask for it, that's no joke! the same food that was sitting under the heat lamp when we arrived was still sitting there when I got my water and the cooks kept piling up the food until there were at least 12 plates up there. The picture I took was way before they started to stack on top of each other. It was the single worst breakfast service that I've had in memory. I don't know what else to say other than I'm sorry for all the people whose food was sitting there turning to dust under the heat lamp... We will definitely not be back and it's quite a skill to avoid somebody that sitting right in front of you at the bar waiting for a water maybe a coffee and probably a menu? I'm sad to report that it's the single worst tip I've ever...
