Worst Starbucks in America. I ordered a sandwich that was wrong and I explained the situation due to me being lactose intolerant. Having ordered in the morning to return in the evening I told her, I’d like a coffee instead. To which she kept telling me to pay $6.44. Excuse me, you said “okay”. Then she got upset when I called her out on it and decided to put almond milk & mocha with black coffee to create a toxic concoction. I’d prefer if the employee is not comfortable with something to offer to give me my money back because I had the receipt and the old sandwich on hand. After this experience I cal-and she said okay!led the customer care complaint hotline and the call, which I hope was recorded was terrible. I explained my situation to the customer care agent; she didn’t understand and kept referring to my sandwich as my coffee. No not having a Starbucks account, she had to do at the old fashion way and send me coupons. To which nothing ever happened because she couldn’t understand my address due to her being overseas. She couldn’t even repeat address correctly. She spelled out Eastern as Eastorn. I also told the agent multiple times that I’m in heavy Washington DC traffic and then I also said I recently moved into a new apartment a few days ago. At that moment in time I did not know my address and I asked if there any other ways to go about resolving this. To which, the overseas customer service agent told me it would be best to call back to get a refund for my coffee. The real question here is why am I paying so much for a high quality coffee and a great experience that is extremely lackluster when they’re not taking my cash. For being is great as Starbucks used to be and how much the prices are, I as an American consumer and disappointed and hope for people that give great customer service-as in ease of communication. I don’t need to teach an English lesson when time is of the essence! Nor do I ever want to experience sassy front desk agents that do not do...
Read moreI had the opportunity to visit the Starbucks inside the Holiday Inn National Mall multiple times during my recent stay, and it was an interesting mix of experiences.
First, let's focus on the positive aspects. The location of this Starbucks is incredibly convenient, especially for guests at the Holiday Inn, as it has its own entrance right next to the L'Enfant Metro Station. This made it incredibly easy for me to grab a coffee and snack before heading out to explore the National Mall.
Most of the staff at this location are truly fantastic and seem dedicated to providing excellent service. They hustled to keep the flow going, ensuring that orders were prepared efficiently and accurately. Their dedication to their work was evident, and I appreciated their efforts.
Now, on to the downside. Unfortunately, there was one employee who seemed to be bringing the whole operation down. It was apparent that his coworkers were frustrated with him, and he was known for making numerous mistakes. This was a bit disappointing as it occasionally slowed down the otherwise smooth operation of the store. It's my hope that this employee can receive the support and training needed to improve his performance.
In terms of the drinks and food, they were consistent with what you'd expect from any Starbucks location. The quality was on par with the chain's standards, which is always a reassuring factor when you're craving your favorite Starbucks beverage or treat.
In summary, the Starbucks inside the Holiday Inn National Mall is a convenient spot to grab your daily caffeine fix, especially if you're staying at the hotel or using the nearby metro station. Most of the employees are dedicated and efficient, although there was one notable exception that could use some improvement. Overall, it served its purpose well...
Read moreI arrived at this location around 5:45 pm and there was no one in line. I waited and was greeted by the only employee there. I asked for venti caramel ribbon crunch latte. It’s usually a frappe but I just wanted it on ice today. The cashier was rude and gave me hard time. She mentioned that she couldn’t make my drink on ice and that it only comes as a frappe. I am a Starbucks lover and regular. I’ve ordered this particular drink numerous times at different multiple locations. So I am well aware that this is a very doable drink to make. When my order was ready, it was a frappe and not a latte. I asked the cashier multiples times if she could re make my drink. She was super rude, disrespectful and refused to fix her mistake/order and stated that I had to wait until another employee arrived for them to remake my order. Mind you this location closed at 7 pm. So I’m pretty sure she was the one closing the store. She was irritable and very unprofessional and was talking on her cellphone the entire time!!! She proceeded to go to the back of store and did not come back out for at least 15 mins. Another customer walked in and waited but left because he was never greeted.she didn’t come back out either. I have never experienced such a distasteful experience. I will never come back to this ghetto location Attaching video for reference. Sn as I was walking out my drink “accidentally” slipped out of my hand. #instantkarma 😇...
