Such a beautiful restaurant! I love the relaxing Parisean feel it has! Perfect for IG pics! Super warm & inviting & the food/drinks & service matched the aesthetics perfectly! Your steak comes out on a bed of fluffy delicious herbed butter served medium rare over an open fire so you can cook your steak to your desired temp. This succulent flavorful steak is accompanied by perfectly golden brown shoestring fries, (dip the fries & the bread in the Cafe de Paris butter....OMG!) a delicious mixed green salad w/a divinely refreshing lemon dressing & bread & butter for an awesome price! An amazing experience & concept all the way across the board & I cant wait to visit again! If you're looking for a really juicy flavorful steak, delicious drinks, good ppl & a dope ambiance, this is the spot!!! We will definitely be back!

I was a huge fan of Stable, so I was very excited to try the owners’ new concept, Steak Frites DC. It definitely lived up to my high expectations! The oysters on the half shell were delicious, and so was the prixe fixe. The butter slowly melting under the steak was a thing of great beauty, and the frites were perfect. The drink menu is also fantastic— especially for fans of the espresso martini (several variants on the menu!) and lots of options for people that prefer wine! The staff is incredible— from the owners to the bartender to the waitstaff, the whole staff is very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend Steak Frites, and I’m looking forward to returning soon.

Thank you to Steak Frites for such an awesome dining experience. The staff was very friendly and helpful, walking us through the options we had. I loved everything on the fixed menu, and the steak blew me away, both in taste and presentation. Also, the bread we were given to start everything off was perfectly cooked. The dessert coup romanov was refreshing and perfect for a warm May evening. I’m excited for the next time I go back, and I’m sure I’m going to get the exact same thing.

Went to Steak Frites for dinner with a friend and had an overall nice experience. The atmosphere strikes a great balance, intimate, yet fun and inviting. It was also pretty cool to see the food being prepared right there in front of us.

We ordered a bottle of wine to share and went with the prix fixe menu. Everything was plated beautifully. The meal started with bread and a salad. I’m not usually a salad person, but it was fresh and surprisingly good.

For the main course, we both ordered our steaks medium rare. My friend’s came out perfectly, but mine leaned overcooked, likely because of the at-the-table open flame. The fries, however, were excellent, crispy and seasoned just right. I just wish I enjoyed my steak more because that’s really the centerpiece of the meal. Personally, I don’t think the open flame gimmick adds much, and I’d rather have my steak cooked precisely.

On the plus side, the cocktails were delicious, and I liked that there’s a full bar in the back room if you want to hang out longer. Service was fantastic, everyone was welcoming, attentive, and kind.

All in all, a solid spot with great service and drinks, but the steak itself (ironically) didn’t quite hit the...

Me and my daughter are at this restaurant. First the restaurant has a cozy atmosphere in the rear booths. The service I ordered an iced tea which came in a small glass filled with ice. I drunk the iced tea and asked for a refill for me and my daughter; the waiter brought us two new glasses of iced tea. When I got the bill I see that they charged us for the second small glass of iced tea…$16 dollars for 4 glasses of iced tea…nearly all restaurants has free refills on iced tea and sodas and if you don’t you should tell the customer when they order a second glass. Second the steaks were flavorful however when they got to my table they were not hot at all. I had to wait for the warmer under the plate to get the steak at least warm. It seemed the steaks had been sitting for a while to come out without any heat to them. Also the bread service…the bread is good however they bring it to the table without a knife to cut it. The bread has a hard crust and you need a knife to cut it. . The food was good however will not be back...

Steak Frites? More like MISTAKE Frites. Overhyped and Underwhelming (and see the surprise at the end) 💩

This place is a knockoff of L’Entrecôte in Paris, but with none of the charm (and almost double the price). People keep giving it five stars, and I’m still trying to figure out why.

Food: 3/5 Steak and fries. Sounds great on paper, but the steak was meh (with lots of inedible fat chunks), the fries were ok, and the “secret sauce” tasted like confused butter. Not awful, but definitely not worth the hype.

Decor: 2/5 Imagine someone vaguely describing a French restaurant over the phone and then giving up halfway through. zero ambiance.

Service: 3.5/5 Staff were friendly and did their best. No complaints there. Just wish the food matched the effort.

The real kicker? My friend and I both got food poisoning 💩🤮 that night. Spent hours in the bathroom reliving our...
