Sure, you can grab a drink anywhere (by the way, the drinks and food are both delicious and affordable), but not just anywhere can you sit down and both the bartender and manager know your name and order.

And, eventually, if you keep participating in the community which Sudhouse continues to create, you’ll soon find yourself becoming one of the many unique, creative, and funny folk that stop in often too.

Better yet? Want to make your newfound community larger? Upstairs in the Hooch, is a wide-open space with TV’s, a bar, and optional catering (great catering from scratch food, too), to host an event or party. Inviting more and more to this all-welcoming, accessible community...

It's a sports bar with multiple TVs. We were looking for a place to watch the baseball while on U st and we were happy to have found this bar.

There's a large selection of drinks and I was able to try a bunch of different beers I had yet to try in DC since being there. The bartenders were up for a chat every now and again and they made sure we always had something to drink which definitely kept us happy.

My partner ordered a fried sampler which had a bunch of different fried foods including mozzarella sticks and chicken wings. The items were delicious but it did feel like a lot after eating only half. I'd recommend it as a snack for at least three people unless you think you're good with fried foods in which case order one...

Decided to host my birthday party here and had a fabulous time thanks to the wonderful Sudhouse team! I reached out on the website and Ally quickly replied to me with details - you pay a $50 deposit and can reserve space on any of the floors and receive wristbands that get you and your guests drink specials. Ally was so communicative and made coordinating super stress free and easy, and Tony was there the night of the party to make things go smoothly. Literally easiest birthday party I’ve ever planned.
