Walked in and was kindly greeted by someone very nice. Told them it was my first time there and trying trini food and went with whatever recommendation she gave me. I believe it was a curry goat and potato wrap. I also ordered some vegetable fritters I saw they had advertised and a passion fruit drink which was homemade. The drink was amazing perfectly sweetened the fritters were very pleasant and had a slight sweetish chili kind of flavor. The curry goat wrap weighed like 5 pounds it was so heavy and was very rich in flavor. I’m Pakistani and I have to say I think they may use even more spices than we do it was such a robust level of flavors and their spicy sauce it came with was very spicy in the best ways possible. I hate when people advertise spicy food and it’s not that hot or it’s just a bunch of dry chili spices you can tell that the levels of spices are cooked into every ingredient in the dish. This place is awesome and I would definitely recommend. Especially to all the desi people looking to try something new but familiar.

Was walking past as I'm new to the neighborhood. Moved from NY got excited when I saw the roti shop sign and even more when I saw the trini sign inside. This was the worse chicken roti I have had in my life. Chicken was very dry the wrap looked like it was three days old and thrown in the microwave and tasted like it. To top it off a chicken roti and sorrel cost me 22 dollars. The sorrel was just as bad. Don't bother find another place to try. I should have known not to have purchased after I asked the lady if everything was ready now and she said yes. Then after I paid she said it will be like 10 minutes. I threw the entire dish in the garbage as you can see from my pictures.

I’m Guyanese and I absolutely loved every bite of this. I got the doubles, chicken doubles, oxtails and buss up shut skin which I highly recommend. The buss up shut skin was flaky, buttery, warm, crispy and delicious. I tried the medium heat doubles, which was very spicy, so I would suggest mild but the owner makes his own peppers and creates everything by hand including the juices which is why it is pricey here. I tried both the passion fruit and mango pineapple juices are like tasting the islands. Pay them a visit, you won’t be disappointed.

What a hidden gem! I'd give more stars if i could. My family visited this restaurant and wow! We all had the chicken roti and we were flabbergasted when it came; it was HUGE we all ate just half of our roti and took the rest to go! The atmosphere was amazing. The owners were very interactive making sure we were well waited on. If you're in the DC area and looking for a good chicken roti, it's worth the 20 minute drive. Plus they had all the favorite Caribbean drinks from sodas to home made drinks. Would definitely recommend and visit again

Really enjoyed the roti. The husband and wife were really cool, welcoming and provided excellent service. Food can make people come but an excellent experience makes them RETURN. Will most definitely be back & recommend/direct others to this establishment.

We loved it so much we went back on our last day to carry it on the road with us!! The space is tight. Only a few tables. But everyone was pleasant, even the other patrons. They got a good thing here. They should be proud.
