The Human Bean — Restaurant in Washington

This place had a "coming soon" sign from the time we moved in last August. I kept wondering if it was a shop inside one of the buildings, but wasn't sure. Eventually it's own building popped up & kept checking google for when it would be open. Finally, the day came & I was so excited as it's very close to me.

Stopped in on opening day, luckily the drive thru line wasn't long. I have never been to any of their locations before & later learned they have an app, which would've made my ordering easier. The menu on the drive thru doesn't show everything, like for smoothies, it just says "smoothies", but doesn't tell you what kind. So I had to ask, to which the lovely person at the window was happy to answer. I got an iced matcha latte with oat milk for myself as I wanted to compare to a certain other mainstream place & a strawberry banana smoothie for the bf.

The lined moved very quickly & the girls at the window were also very friendly. They recommended I get the app as there's perks & I can pay easily pay through there. Took the drinks home & they were both really good. Boyfriend enjoyed his smoothie & I tasted it as well. You could taste the fruits in there & it was really refreshing. I loved my matcha, depending on the place its either sweetened or unsweetened. This one was sweetened, but not overly sweet. Yum, can't wait to go back & I'll have the...

been waiting for this place to open for almost a year considering it on the way to school (WSUV) so it makes it easier for me to get coffee before class. now that it's open, i tried it for the first time yesterday. i like them but they can definitely do better, they have fast service which is great, especially if i'm running late for school and super friendly staff from the one time i went. the only down side is the drinks itself. i asked for a java chip frozen blended drink, what i normally get at any human bean location. it did NOT taste like other locations i have been to. i assume it is because this location is newer so staff are still training but it was kind of a let down considering i spent $15 on 2 16oz drinks.

there is definitely room to improve but i see this becoming a regular location...

First time trying this place out as I got a free drinks through a local magazine

I wasn’t sure what to order as my wife usually orders for us at black rock. I ordered an iced coffee with sugar free white mocha and sugar free vanilla. When asked if I wanted americano or latte, I wasn’t sure how to and we so I said whichever is creamier as I like it on the creamier side.

Unfortunately this tastes straight up like whole milk. I couldn’t taste any coffee flavor or the sweetener.

Also thought the service would be better. Wasn’t expecting Dutch bros friendly but appreciate a greeting and basic questions. Will be returning back to black rock...
