Some Good Men got together, & bought a pizza spot on 12th St., N.E.!! I had to go!! PIZZA is my love language!! They have Halal food, & more than just pies, so I headed out to the Brookland area of D.C. to see what they’re hittin on…LET’S GO!! . Where I am: @todayspizzadc . Location Reviewed: 3928 12th St., N.E. Washington D.C. . Menu Includes: Cheese, Spinach, White, BBQ, and other Craft Pizzas, Garden, Chefs, Caesar, Tuna, and other Salads, Calzones, Fries, Onion Rings, Mozzarella Sticks, Burgers, Hot & Cold Subs, Fried Shrimp, Flounder, & Chicken, Buffalo Wings, Pasta dishes, Bottled Drinks, & Desserts. . Items Reviewed: Their Italian Cheese Steak Pizza (with green peppers, onions, mushrooms, 10” $13.99). DECENT. It needed some more tasty ingredients.

Their Meal Pizza (with sausage, pepperoni, black olives, green peppers, onions, 12” $15.99). DELICIOUS!! It’s pretty much a Supreme Pizza!!

Their Cheese Pizza (mozzarella & marinara 14” $11.98). DELICIOUS!! It’s what a cheese pizza should be. Not overbearing with the sauce nor the cheese. The crust is hand tossed!!

Their Fried Chicken & Biscuit (with a mild dipping sauce & sweet bbq sauce $9.49). STAMP!! Fried to perfection with a corneal & flour!! Hot, crispy, STAMP!! The sauces were DELICIOUS!! The biscuit I PASSED on.

Their Cheesecakes (a vanilla cheesecake $3.99, & a Blue Velvet Cheesecake $9.99). The Vanilla cake…DELICIOUS!! The Velvet cake STAMP!! Velvety, rich, & scrumptious!! . Their Large Jerk Oxtail Pizza (with marinated jerk oxtail, mozzarella, half white pizza. & half jerk seasoned pizza $23). STAMP!! The pics don’t do this pie justice!! Super tender flavorful meat…happiness!!

Their Small Sweet Chili Oxtail Pizza (with marinated sweet chili oxtail, mozzarella, and a savory marinara sauce $17). STAMP!! Yes they have different flavored Oxtail pies!! My favorite, spicy, meaty, cheesy…the marinara wasn’t overbearing…well done!!

Their Lemon Bundt Cake (Homemade $8). STAMP!! Moist, sweet, lemony DELICIOUSNESS!!

Today marked a special culinary adventure as my son and I embarked on our inaugural visit to "Today's Pizza." Our gastronomic journey was a delightful one, as we indulged in a delectable chicken pizza adorned with the fiery charm of jalapeños and the tangy allure of banana peppers. The flavors that graced our taste buds were nothing short of extraordinary, a testament to the use of fresh and high-quality ingredients.

As I savored each slice, I found myself captivated by the pizza's impeccable taste and the harmony of its components. So enraptured was I by this culinary masterpiece that I had consumed half of it when my son, equally enchanted, pleaded with me to order another one. Without hesitation, we decided to broaden our pizza horizons and opted for the intriguing Jerk Chicken Pizza, complete with the same fiery jalapeños and zesty banana peppers.

But our culinary escapade didn't stop there. We couldn't resist indulging our sweet tooth, and our dessert selection was equally outstanding. The Red Velvet, Sweet Potato, Strawberry, and Snickerdoodle Custard were nothing short of a symphony of flavors. Each spoonful was a delightful journey of taste and texture, leaving us craving for more.

In conclusion, I must proclaim that our visit to Today's Pizza was nothing short of a revelation. Overall 1st experience was blah I ordered my pizza 45 mins ahead of time and it took me 20 -30minutes to get there, outside was a line going out the door with many others wanting to try this place out for the 1st time as well... that was another 30+-hour min wait as just to check in. Then you get to the front to check in its no expedite going on no leadership to give out the orders to say which customers are there. So once in there or checked in was another 30-40 min. One guy up front tired wore out dismissing phone orders -$$, then taking phone calls, dismissing taking orders upfront-$$,then taking orders upfront after an man gave him a pep talk and told him people traveled to come try this place out. The guy taking orders has a nasty but too laid back I don't care demeanor and I know he's tired and irritated. But some compassion, and some expedition, and communication to the team and the customers are needed by whomever is in charge. Yes it's a job and mighty tough job and high demand but you have to know what comes with it... the pizza I had was a small and that it was it was around $28 I didn't complain because the toppings were expensive Ox tails and jerk the wait was extremely long but the pizza over all was delicious..!!! I wish the formula of the dough could change it was a bit tough...I may give them one more try and see from there but overall they got something going on that could be bigger I wish them the best but please step the service up... the...
