The food is average, not that good, little salty for my taste.
I didn't feel welcomed with the front cashier/waitress (or the owner) from the time I walked in. She stared at me without saying anything until I asked "I can seat anywhere?"; then she said "yes". I should have walked out right there.
I already ordered the drink, a minute later, she came and ask what drink I wanted to order. I had to remind her I wanted something that she said she didn't have it and I had to other something else; then she remembered.
She wasn't busy with dine-in customers. When I came, there was only a couple and they left right after that. Another couple came about 3 minute later. So, there were only 3 customers, me included the whole time. But the reason she got inattentive because, every time she stepped away from the counter to get or bring out the food, her phone got text notification ding many times. If she's in her teen or early 20's, I could understand, but she looks as she's in her 40's.
When she came to get my order, I tried to make a friendly conversation; but her face and her replying didn't try to hide the bothersome expression. I have been to many restaurants and have met many waiters, who were much younger than this woman, but they were very happy, polite and friendly.
Only when I pay, to round it up, I leave more than 33% tip, she smiled and said thank you very friendly.😏🙄
I hope my tip goes to the chef and people in the kitchen, not to her. The only good thing is the bathroom is clean, maybe because the restaurant doesn't have much dine-in customers. I will not come back nor recommend to family...
Read moreI'll start with the good. The restaurant is new, and very clean. The appetizers were delicious, with excellent presentation. I had shrimp tempura, and the ladies had octopus balls (no joke), and they had most of mine and said all was delicious. Mine was. The ladies for bbq pork ramen and several sushi options, again, all delish. Now the bad. I'm from texas, so this may be just me. They had hot green tea for 3.50.... wow, so I went for the soda option for 2.00. Theyre was no regular orange pekoe ice tea that I could chug. They brought a glass of ice and a can of soda ... what? I then find that it's 2.00 for each can. This is texas and every restaurant is free refills, even fast food for dine in. Maybe it's just me, but you will NEVER succeed with no free refills. The waitress took our order and 3 or more entrees were missing, so someone had to wait while everyone else ate. Although, she was so sweet and helpful. Her smile was beautiful. I will start with I don't like sushi and most asian foods. I like savory only. That being said, if you give me some spicy beef and fried rice, i'm good... usually delish. I ordered beef fried rice. The rice was without flavor and the beef tasted and had the texture of microwave 3 day old beef. On top of that, I was choking it down with my 2 dollar can of pepsi, almost blowing chunks because I couldn't swallow. This is a sushi place, though. Overall great food, but I will never eat there again because of something as simple as no free refills on drinks. Good luck with...
Read moreMe and my friend came by to eat there as we were trying someplace new and they were the only one with ample time for us to eat and leave. We prefer to only dine in if there’s at least an hour+ before close, but we were really wanting ramen and this place would’ve given us 45-50 minutes before they closed. Lady at the front asked us if we were dining in or taking out, and we said we were dining in, to which she informed us that they were closing in 40 ish minutes. We were already aware of that and didn’t plan on staying a second after they closed (we’ve both worked in food and know that’s annoying). She kept suggesting we order to go, going on about how she has to clean (keep in mind there was only one dirty table that people we at and they left shortly after we got our food) causing me and my friend to argue about whether we should dine in or not and wasting time (like a few minutes tbh) until we asked her if it was ok if we still dined in. She said “Yeah as long as you’re quick.” Like wth?? we were already planning to be quick, but Who tf says that to a customer?? After we ordered, it barely took the kitchen 10 minutes to get our food out (not a complaint, we expected it to be quick as we were the only ppl ordering) and we were out 3 minutes before they closed. Had she not said anything and went out of her way to make us feel unwelcome we would’ve been out faster and I wouldn’t be writing this. I normally don’t gaf about customer service as long as you aren’t rude, but she single-handedly ruined...
