I was at a buddy’s place in Bloomfield Township and craving some Chinese food, so I jumped on Google Maps and found China Jade. The reviews looked great, and one of them mentioned that while the outside doesn’t look like much, the inside is a totally different story. That turned out to be 100% true—this place is really nice inside and looks recently remodeled. They even have a bar area with a TV and another TV visible from the dining area, which gave it a cool vibe. When we walked in, a lady at the bar welcomed us and told us to sit wherever we liked. Our server (I think her name was Soon-Yi, apologies if I got it wrong) was wonderful—super friendly, attentive, and kept our drinks filled the entire time. Service was quick and spot on. I ordered the #9 sweet and sour chicken, which came with wonton soup, an egg roll, and fried rice. The wonton soup came out first and was delicious, followed by a crispy, flavorful egg roll. Then the entrée arrived—huge portions and really great-tasting food. Everything was fresh, hot, and full of flavor. All around, this place is amazing. Great food, big portions, excellent service, and a nice atmosphere. I’ll definitely be coming back to China Jade. Highly recommend if you’re in the area and craving Chinese!

I had the Four Seasons dish and was impressed with both the food and the care in packaging. The proteins were well-cooked and plentiful — the scallops were tender yet firm, a delicious bite when dripping with the garlic-oyster-soy sauce. The chicken was also tender, and the shrimp beautifully shrimpy, balanced by BBQ pork that was especially flavorful. The vegetables were cooked perfectly — peas snappy, carrots crisp, broccoli firm — with water chestnuts adding a great crunchy texture. The savory sauce tied everything together with a richness that lingered delightfully. I’m also a DoorDash delivery driver and often get to-go menus from restaurants I deliver from — China Jade stood out to me for its friendliness, spotless bathroom, and consistent professionalism on many deliveries. The dish itself was bountiful, like a cornucopia of fresh proteins and vegetables. Every bite looked as good as it tasted — colorful, generous, and thoughtfully prepared.

First time there as I’m new to the area and maybe I’m just spoiled but it’s been very hard to find great Chinese in this area like I was used to in Livonia (China House Inn) and Garden City (Great China Garden - the Pan Pan dish omg 😋). I always order Almond Chicken my first time at a Chinese restaurant. I’ve never seen it like this before! Just four deep fried whole chicken breasts. No almonds at all (preferably crushed on top) which is strange! It’s *almond* chicken right? Plus, usually they come sliced. I had to work to get these cut up with my dull table knife. Thankfully they tasted great once I finally got around to eating! On the plus side, service was SUPER fast and friendly. I’ll come back for my other favorite General Tso, hopefully no surprises with that one.

An awful dining experience. My wife and I enjoy taking time during the week to go on dates and decided to dine at China Jade. We support local charity and youth groups and purchased one of the Entertainment coupon booklets, which included several China Jade coupon vouchers for "buy 1 get 1 free" entree, which is a great bargain for a week night dinner. After driving to China Jade and placing our carry out order on the way, we arrive and present the coupon to the hostess. The coupon is legitimate and for a good cause, posted by the restaurant owner in a very common voucher book, the coupon had no stipulations and was within the expiration date, in saying this.. The hostess proceeded to say (exact comments mind you) "That is dine in only" we kindly stated, that is does not say anything regarding dine in, simply B1G1, she then literally stated "you need to call newspaper company and they tell you dine in only" (which is absurd). My polite wife stated "since the coupon is inaccurate from the company, and we would like to use it, will you honor the coupon that you posted in this national voucher book?" The manager walked out and rudely stated "that not us, that different China Jade, that not us" and proceeded to tell us the total.. The final straw: my wife hands the coupon to both employees and states "this is your address correct?" (As we GPS'd the location, it was marked on the voucher, and had the telephone number included that matches the door and menu phone number......) She stuttered for a moment and said "that not us!" With no other mysterious China Jade restaurant in this half of the state, being lied to, directly to our faces and the shear lack of ANY type of customer care, we calmly replied "we no longer need the food, will not be giving this restaurant our business and will never return" at which point we left. It is places such as these that should be closed down to make room for true entrepreneurs, who value good business and customer care. I hope that anyone who has had a similar experience refuses to ever dine at such a poor establishment. We both have owned, operated and supervised businesses our entire lives, and understand the importance of "the customer" and customer care. Overall recommendation: Steer clear of this dishonest, unprofessional establishment at all cost, not worth your time and money.

Best Regards, 2 Business owners who will never do...

man, i love their food. I do. It’s delicious. However, I have been getting China Jade for roughly five years now, and EVERY SINGLE TIME we’ve had it we’ve gotten sick. Horribly sick. In 2021 I moved to pontiac and we bought China Jade for our moving party of friends and family. An hour after eating, one of the men that was helping move was literally incapacitated on the bathroom floor in between bouts of puking and pooping. My stomach hurt badly, and I had a couple unpleasant poops, but ultimately i thought nothing of it. A year later I decided to try again, maybe it’s a one-off? My boyfriend and I both spent the rest of the day alternating ends on the toilet. In 2023 someone told me they had been shut down by the health department and reopened with better standards. I was skeptical but the internet said that this was untrue. I tried them again-this time i got samonella. I was unsure if it was from the China Jade food or not because I’d also recently tried oysters for the first time elsewhere, so I waited it out again. In 2024 I just really wanted some General Tso’s so i got their Marianna Chicken or whatever it’s called here; and was puking/pooping for three days straight. Now, you would think that four years straight would be enough to make me learn my lesson, right? You would think that, but you would be wrong. Yesterday, March 10 2025, I was fiending for some chicken lo mein. There’s a woeful lack of decent Chinese food in the area, and it had been a year, so I said to myself, “Maybe, China Jade..” I dont know why i thought that. The chicken lo mein was delicious, but, sure enough…i found myself vying for an audience with the Porcelain King, my entire family puking and pooping their brains out. Had to call my 9yo out of school this morning, and my poor boyfriend hasnt left the bathroom in 40 minutes. To conclude: China Jade has delicious food, and I so badly want to give them 5 stars, but the payoff for that delicious food is a day off work and in the bathroom, so be ready for that. See you next...

Nice location. Food is really good at times, the other half it is not good at all. Depends what you order. Lunch menu. Tried to order at 4:02pm, I was too late looking at the menu. But 2 minutes, OK rules are rules. Then ordered on time, but asked for Mushroom Egg Foo Young. Oh no, only chicken and Shrimp Egg Foo Young. You're kidding right. I would think Shrimp is more expensive than mushrooms. Ok rules are rules. Oh, please put the gravy on.the side. If I want over saturate my meal I will. You do the same for Sweet and Sour meals although does anyone still remember the days when Sweet and Sour sauce came with veggies, pineapple and was no sugary. I need more than an orange sugary concoction. White rice the other day. Clumpy, very dry. Please don't serve Door Dash customers dried rice because we also visit almost every day and you never know who you are feeding day old food. Portions are plentiful, ABC is really good, wish you could get soup instead of an egg roll for combinations. Again rules are rules but still looking for that one Chinese restaurant in Waterford/Keego Harbor/NW Commerce that exceeds all others. Still searching. Oh, plus despise the checkout thing asking for a tip. Why? I drove there to pick up my food, just like any other fast food restaurant. Stop with the carryout tips plea, just makes people...
