A letter to the Manager:

I had the pleasure of sitting at your counter today. I am not a frequent customer, however; I have been a customer since 2012. I've watched you grow, and so I feel I have a responsibility to speak up in order to help you continue to grow, and not slow growth or halt it. The time was between 1215 pm and 115 pm on 6/30/16. You had a full house and a busy staff. The Kitchen Back and Front of house is working well and at high standards considering that they make up for one waitress. The wait staff, just one from my experience today, needs more training. Confusion was caused when I ordered because the waitress did not know the menu, nor reference it when writing the ticket. To be fair, I didn't reference the menu when I placed my order, but the server should know what is on the menu. The chef was doing his best to get clear orders from the waitress, and I admired how calm he remained at a stressful time. I believe my original waitress doesn't close tickets well. I did not receive any other acknowledgement from my original waitress after she submitted my order ticket, so I asked the second waitress to help me with a box to go and the bill. She couldn't find the ticket and so had to make another ticket for records. I'm patient and it's obvious that your staff is too. But how long must your full staff support the one waitress? The Daily Diner is still a great place to come to and enjoy a...

Came here by accident when I mixed up the name of a different diner. This one had a slightly better rating so we decided to give it a try.

Definitely a one and done kind of place.

Our waitress was nice but she was the only one taking orders for the whole place. She only stopped to check in on us after another employee (no clue what her role was) told her we looked upset.

The water tastes like the fountain spout hasn't been cleaned in months.

One family member asked if she could replace American cheese with cheddar- no problem! Her omelette came out with cheddar on top and American in the middle.

My omelette was supposed to come with Swiss cheese on top. Based on how it melted and tasted, it definitely wasn't Swiss.

Another family member ordered well-done hash browns. His came out undercooked, raw to the point they were still crunchy, and barely lukewarm in the middle.

Brought it up to the waitress who just yelled at the cooks. Rather than offer to comp that plate she just offered to have them make another plate of hashbrowns (um, no thanks!)

The food that was fully cooked was mediocre tasting at best. $40 breakfast for 3 people- definitely not worth it.

There are plenty of other diners around worth going to. Keep this one...

Today I called the daily diner to find out what time they stop serving breakfast. I was told by the woman that answered the phone that they serve breakfast until 2 o’clock and they take their last orders at 1:30. Thinking I had time I called at 1:25 to place my carry-out order since I only live a few minutes away. When calling to place the order I was told that they were already closed. Wait I called earlier and you told me that you guys close at 2 pm And you can place an order up until 130. her excuse was well sometimes we run out of things early. I said you don’t even know what I want so how do you know you don’t have it. Well, we’re already closed. I dislike restaurants like this that tell you one thing and then totally do another. if it was not for the small customers in the area, the small businesses would not continue running. Bad bad service they do not stand behind what they say even when confronted about it it doesn’t matter about that. Bad bad business keep...

I ordered carry out from this business to support them during an all restaurant shut down/hard times. I even drove 20-25 minutes out of my hometown to pick it up, I’ve had breakfast at this small business before and enjoyed it, so I thought it was a good choice. I ordered the “dirty hot blonde french toast” and it literally looks like someone just threw bread and some walnuts in a carry out box and called it good. Definitely does not look like the picture advertised on their website or Facebook cover photo! Not even any whip cream. Never ordering from this place again. Waste of time and money.

This is exactly what it is. An old school diner. Staff is efficient, the cooks are fast, and the kitchen is in plain sight. If you sit at the counter, you see every meal get prepared, which I think is neat. The cooks move so fast and work as a team. It's a tight, small place but the food is good and they price is right. If you're looking for an upscale, cozy joint, this ain't it. If you want good food fast, this is your place. I recommend the pancakes, mushroom, Swiss burger or Western omelet.

This place is awesome! We ordered the Peaches and Cream French Toast with pecans, and they were worth every penny. Prices are reasonable, and the staff are very friendly. We also ordered an order of scrambled eggs and pancakes which were done perfectly. Several of the menu items I've never seen anywhere else. The diner is small, but they make great use of their space and it feels neither small nor crowded. We would highly recommend this place, and will definitely be returning! Awesome!
