Prime Thai — Restaurant in Waterford Township

We went to So Thai at its new location and happened to be closed that day. Went to Prime Thai instead for dinner to check it out. Ordered hot tea and potstickers...which came out with our dinners. Potstickers were so over fried it was oily and too crunchy. Lacked flavor. Tea container was filthy. Table was sticky and fruit flies kept bouncing off of us. I asked for no spice in my Pad Thai. Totally had spice in it. My daughter's Kickboxing chicken was not good quality. Very little meat in a doughy deep fried ball. She said the rice tasted like it had chemicals in it. I tried it and agreed. Bubble tea came as a slushy drink with whip cream on top ?? Gross Boba. Low quality ingredients used in their food! Dirty! To top it off, when the waitress brought my daughter's dinner, she took my appetizer plate in front of me that I just used with sauce on it and put it in front of my daughter, added a spoon, and put her dinner down. Wth? Just gross! $45 bill. We both agreed....So Thai is 100% better. Go eat at both and you'll see the difference in quality ingredients and cleanliness. Quit wasting our hard earned money cheap low quality restaurants of Waterford! Prime just made...

Prime Thai? No.. it’s prime GARBAGE!! The place is so unsanitary and so dirty that it can’t even be hidden from the public eye. It’s one thing to raise prices due to inflation but it doesn’t make sense to skimp out on the food even more every time the prices raise a dollar or 2 (which they increase frequently!) The new cooks do not make the recipes the same either, food does not taste up to par nor fresh.

Update: Well once again, I’ve been disappointed with my food even after a new owner has taken over. I gave it benefit of doubt to try again because I thought this new management would have improved this place but I was wrong. The prime Thai platter has to be a joke. Everything in it was either soaked up in oil, overcooked, or empty! The shrimp rolls were just 2 pieces of overcooked and burnt shrimp, half way filled, the rest is just air of the spring roll skins. I couldn’t even eat the crispy rolls, they were INEDIBLE and insanely soggy, I can not believe the amount of oil that came out of it. Like I said before and I say again.....

This was one of the worst Thai restaurants I’ve ever been to. I didn’t realize it is a different owner than it used to be. I walked in and it is freezing cold. No heat at all. Then it’s incredibly dirty and the menus were sticky and just have random things crossed out. I ordered hot and sour soup, which is listed without meat on the menu. Then red curry with fried tofu, brown rice and extra veggies. The soup came out freezing cold. Another customer complained of the same thing. And it had huge chunks of meat in it which I do not eat. The waiter took the other customer’s soup and put it in the microwave. My food actually came out extremely hot and was pretty good initially. But then I was noticing random pieces of tofu tasted really weird and off. I ended up spitting out one of the pieces and not eating the rest.
