I sure wish I wasn’t leaving a negative review and have finally decided to leave one. I really like to support mom and pop shops and unfortunately we are not happy with the service we received. I was assured that they stand behind there work and as long as it’s within reason they would make things right. That was not the case at all. So we had a couch and 2 chairs reupholstered. The couch- 1/2 is now a few inches bigger than the other 1/2, and 1/2 when not reclined is a couple inches lower than the other side. Both chairs brush against the floor when going into recline. I was told that the reason the price is close to new furniture was because it will be like brand new. I called and explained our concerns and right away the friendly couple came out. Regardless that it was obvious I was told that it’s not a problem. I also mentioned that the arm covers and pillows were short. The seam on the pillows is 1/4 down instead of where a seam should around the perimeter. They said they ran out of material and that they just throw the pillows and arm covers in for free anyways. We were told they would be like the ones we had and be as long as the arm. They fall off and I was easily able to show that. I couldn’t believe they ran out of the material and he said it was discontinued. I asked why they wouldn’t call and let us know since if there’s anything ever wrong (which there already was) it would have to be reupholstered now. I would never purchase a discontinued material. Especially at the price. Then he said a lot of people like it so the company will probably bring it back. I was told the mechanism broke and that I would need to call the company that made the furniture about that. I paid just over $5,000 and my husband even helped load the furniture. As for the rubbing against the floor when reclining that was completely not addressed. They both left and I’ve never heard from them again. He carved them by hand and you recognized that immediately and cared for those three chairs as if they were your own. I cannot believe I did not write a review back then, but I was pretty overwhelmed with grief. However, when our Laz-E-Boy memory foam recliner/rocker / purchased at their main store purchased in 2017. Needed some attention. I called lazy boy because they had at the time lifetime warranties and was told too bad, so sad, the company had been purchased and we're no longer honoring them. I remembered how incredibly well I was treated at Gwiz and Gwiz and called them. The first thing that shocked me was that what I ordered and what I received was only memory foam on the bottom and not at the back which is where all the issues were on both of the chairs. The owner came out the next day showed me what was wrong with the backs and explained what it would take to get it to what I thought I purchased. I okayed the repairs, he took the backs and said he would be back with them on Monday or Tuesday the following week. Mind you I called on a Thursday. On Monday. I received a phone call saying that they would be bringing the repaired chairs on Tuesday morning and they did! The chairs are better than when they were purchased and I am fully happy and satisfied with the very quick turnaround. And return. We sure did miss those chairs! Thank you! Highly recommend...

Long story short, I have an heirloom piece of furniture given to me by a VIP. I want it to last a long time and treat it with respect so it was picked up 3 weeks ago to have the seat re-upholstered. I called today, since it was only supposed to take 2 weeks and have been told: "Oh ya, we were supposed to call you, but just saw the note". Well, it's actually going to be $1500 instead of $500, but we will knock $500 off for the inconvenience. ARE YOU KIDDING ME??!?!?! You haven't even started it? Did I mention this was after being disconnected twice and me having to call back? I was then told they would have it back to me sometime when they are "in the area" and I would get a refund check back at the end of the month. UM - NOOOOOO. I said "you will have it back at my store by the end of the day today, with the check in hand. We will see. They better hope its in my possession by the end of the day. It's invaluable to me!
DON'T USE GWIZ AND GWIZ UPHOLSTERY! They even have good reviews. Somehow.
