CUSTOMERS BEWARE OF THE NEW CREW! THEY'RE SCAMMING YOU!!!
My wife and I ordered 2 meals the same way we've been ordering for years. We specifically asked the girl on the phone if the menu has changed. She said no it's the same cook. We asked for the order back over the phone and she recited it the way we requested. All good right? NOT EVEN CLOSE!!!
This place has become a money grab scam with this new owner. We asked several times if this order was accurate and the girl said yes its the same cook. Shame on me for not opening the containers until I get home. Had I known this place has become a SCAM I wouldn't have taken the food and definitely wouldn't have paid the ridiculous new prices for it. Naturally I called them and asked them why literally everything was wrong. She said they don't offer the way we requested anymore. I reminded her she verified everything we ordered and never once mentioned our order was going to be completely wrong. I reminded her about my question about the menu being different she said she told me it was the same cook. I said so the foods the same she said yes its the same cook. But in my last conversation she says she never said same menu only same cook. THATS A SCAM. If this place closes it would be a blessing for everyone that works hard for their money to be thrown away in the garbage. Literally. I asked them for a refund because we were not eating what they sent us. Living 30 minutes away I'd expect a respectful honest restaurant to go ahead and refund my card. She put me on hold for a solid 10 minutes and comes back just to tell me I have to bring the bogus food back so they can throw it out before they refund my $55 ticket. I will push as much social media possible to expose this scam ring. THIS ISN'T LA FONDA ANYMORE!
We will miss that place. Hopefully one day a good restaurant will fill this space after this new garbage closes. Until then look anywhere...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWorst food and service of my life. We had Gabby as our waitress. We sent the food back twice, still not getting what we ordered. When I ordered the flauta dinner, I specifically specified that I wanted ground hamburger meat with flour tortillas. I got the food, the rice and beans hard and dry, and they gave me a corn tortilla with pulled pork meat! I, of course, sent it back and asked them to correct it. They then microwaved the lettuce and tomato, making it soggy and warm. The rice and beans were now hard and dry as well. They now corrected the hamburger meat, but gave me soggy corn tortillas instead of flour! I sent it back a SECOND time, and they got the flour and beef, but it was even soggier and grease soaked. They had microwaved the food yet again! Even so, the spoonful of hamburger meat they gave me on each of them still somehow managed to be cold. None of the times was I given the pico de gallo they had promised to come with it. The person with me ordered a California style burrito with no sour cream. While they made that order "right", it was filled with half rice, no pico de gallo, and flavorless hamburger meat. The skimpy amount of cheese that was melted on top wasn't even mozerella, it was some bland tasting yellow cheese. This is not authentic Mexican food! Finally we just paid the bill for the mostly uneaten, nasty food and left. The waitress was very snotty. She didn't check back on the food and did very little to try to improve this terrible experience after having to get another waitress to flag her down (not that they were busy). This is one place I will NEVER eat at again.
P.S. Went to Arby's to have an edible dinner after already spending $30 on a garbage meal. We had better food and service at a fast food resturaunt just to really show a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreNice looking bar, clean, bathrooms were clean, hostess and waitresses were pleasant. Very few patrons in this afternoon. After the drinks were brought out, and then the food, no one returned to check on us to see if we need anything, to go containers, or the check. I joked that I should call the restaurant from the table and ask for the check.
Here's some pictures of the loot: Enchiladas Rojas (chicken), Carne Asada tacos, and a Birria (Beef Barbacoa) Chimichanga. Large plate, hefty servings. The taco and enchilada plates were $12.99, and the chimichanga was $16.99. The tacos and the enchiladas were stuffed with meats, as was the burrito.
Everybody enjoyed their food. We agreed that fare was different yet pleasantly reminiscent of the Mexican food that we enjoyed in California, and based on the portions and pricing, we would definitely be back. Red "salsa" served with chips was absolutely disgusting and tasted like tomato sauce with a...
