My wife and I travel for a living and we lived in New London last year. We found this place and we didn't look back. First off, the owners are amazing. They take the time to get To know their customers and they really make you feel like you're at home. Growing up in Jersey I grew up with pizzerias like this. These guys are great. Every time my wife goes in they always hand her a complimentary Little slice of pizza or garlic bread or anything like that. Everyone is extremely extremely welcoming in that place. My wife took a job again here in New London and we revisited the other day. I called and I sounded like a child because I was so eager to order my normal order of wings and pizza. Of course we get there and my wife is greeted by the owner and he remembered her immediately. He handed her a delicious slice of his pizza. I spoke with his daughter outside as she was coming back from a delivery and she was so welcoming. We chatted for a while and she let me know that her family also owns boardwalk Pizza. Another great spot here in Niantic. I get home and I'm reminded why they have the best wings in the entire area. Extremely juicy extremely crunchy. Their Pizza can't be touched. I am a spoiled Jersey brat. When it comes to my pizza. These people do not mess around to say the least. We are here for a while longer so we will definitely be revisiting. Thank you again for your hospitality and your amazing food. Keep up the amazing...
Ā Ā Ā Read more4.5/5 stars, while is pretty good, is way to low for this place. Lets start with the service, the lady behind the counter was super nice both on the phone and to customers, she was LITERALLY running around the shop trying to help customers ASAP. She gave everyone a mini slice of tomato pie for their wait (even tho I was in n out in less than 5 mins, so it wasnt much of a wait tbh) the food is super high quality. You can taste fresh ingredients, from the dough, to the cheese, to the sauce, to the thick pepperonis. EVERYTHING is high quality. When I arrived there was a truck unloading imported ingredients (according to the side of the truck) The price wasnt great ($27.60 for 1 large pepperoni pizza and a 2 liter) but for the quality of ingredients, id GLADLY pay that again. Ive had multiple chicago deep dish pizzas, multiple Detroit deep dish pizzas, multiple NY pizzas n different pizza from 43/50 states (im in the trucking industry) n the pizza from this spot is top 3 ive EVER had. I HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone on the fence on where to go in the new...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was visiting the area and saw that Illiano's was a highly rated restaurant in the area so I decided to give it a try.
I decided to order the Stuffed Meat Lovers pizza for take out since I've never had stuffed pizza before. It was stuffed with bacon, sausage, pepperoni and mozzarella and the crust was brushed with melted garlic butter. I was also provided a small container of pizza sauce.
The pizza smelled great on my way home which was confirmed when I had my first slice. Dipping it in the pizza sauce made it even better. It was like a lighter version of a calzone, but it was very filling. I could only manage two slices which were very good.
The woman manning the front counter was very nice and my order was ready when I arrived. She is the one who recommended the sauce to dip the pizza and it was a good recommendation. I definitely recommend trying this restaurant, but bring an appetite if you get the stuffed pizza or just order a...
