Dimitri's Pizza — Restaurant in Watertown

Just for clarification, this is a GREEK style pizzeria folks. Greek style is very unique, heavy on the aged mootz, a rich, seasoned, and very flavorful and somewhat sweet sauce (not too sweet), and most importantly, a very distinct bread-like dough which is light and airy. Thicker than a new york style thin crust, but not as thick as a cicillian, but the pie as a whole is a heavy pie, a couple slices and you feel heavier, because each slice is like it’s own meal, but if that’s what you’re looking for, if that is what you’re in the mood for, and trust me, once you have a good greek pie, you’ll develop a craving for it, and when that craving sneaks up on you, this pie definitely hits the spot. I give it a 4.5 star, but this site forces you to round up. We moved to Watertown almost a year ago and after trying tons of pizza places here and in neighboring towns, one of our friends who used to live in Watertown recommended Dimitri's. The pizza and wings are absolutely top notch! The wings are crispy and delicious. A lot of places claim to be "New Haven style" but rarely are. Dimitri's could easily compete with famous pizza places in New Haven like Sally's, BAR and Modern (Pepe's is not a contender. They've gone down hill.) I was never a pizza snob but I am now. Also, they personally deliver which means we don't have to use a food delivery service and I know who is coming to my home. We like him even though he is a Jets fan. After seeing the reviews and pictures on Facebook Pizzaholics I decided to drive up this afternoon to try Dimitris Pizza. When I arrived was greeted with a friendly smile and hello from my waitress Sophie. Met the owners Stella and Justin very nice friendly people. Decided to go with the 1/2 meatball and mushroom with a tad more extra tomatoes sauce. Let me tell you pizza Chef Katie knocked it out of the ball park, pizza was thin crispy with the right amount of cheese and a wonderful tomatoe sauce, meatballs and mushrooms were excellent.
