I figured it was about time to add another place to my Watertown Pizza list, and I was kind of shocked that I had forgotten about this place. We used to order from here regularly years ago, but slowly migrated away to other local joints. It was time to revisit...my fragile digestive system and I were ready!
The place has a nice, cozy dining room, but there never seems to be too many people dining in. We're not huge dine in people anyway, so take out was a no-brainer. Called in at about 6pm on a Saturday night and they answered the phone right away. The 2 ladies of the family were feeling salad-ey, so they went with a Caesar and a Fresh Mozzarella Salad, respectively. The boy and I were feeling...pizza-ey, so we pulled the trigger on the "All American" specialty pizza. Time to pick up was 25 minutes, which was nice after having to wait for upwards of 45 minutes at other places in the area this time of night.
Food was ready when we arrived, gal behind the counter was friendly and got us in and out. Prices? Reasonable, again...especially compared to other area favorites. The ladies raved over the salads and I tried both myself. Ingredients seemed super fresh and seasoned well. I'm sure they're not making EVERYthing homemade here, but comparatively speaking for pizza joint salads, they were awesome.
Pizza was also delicious. Cooked perfectly, dough tasted fresh and crispy, red sauce was sweet and seasoned well, and the toppings were on point. "Collectively" on point; sometimes the toppings individually will be good, but you'll get gross tasting sausage...which ruins it all. These were all good. I'm not saying this is the best pizza I ever had, or the best pizza in the area. But it's rock solid and has its own unique flavor. I think for some, there may be #1 go to pizza joint here. They're worth a shot, for sure.
Digestively speaking? No...

Photos above show that shrimp scampi dish and the Ny strip dish. Both, pleasant to the eye, but overwhelmed with too much garlic. THE DETAILS::
Rizvanis is located in the Kmart Plaza. It generally goes unnoticed since its narrow entrance way sits in between a busy liquor store and a popular grocery store.
The first thing I noticed upon entering was a pleasant, subtle scent of garlic. We arrived here in the later part of the evening so it didn't surprise me that only four of the 30 or so tables were occupied.
Within a couple of minutes of being seated, our server provided us with garlic bread and took our orders.
I ordered a Caesar Salad which was included with my Shrimp Scampi ($17.99) and my friend got the NY Strip ($18.95).
The Caesar Salad leaves were soaked excessively in garlic sauce. Being too hungry to send it back, I scraped the sauce off of each leaf to make it palatable.
The shrimp scampi dish contained only six small shrimp on a large platter of linguine and again, an overwhelming excess of garlic in the sauce. (I was able to scrape the excess off each shrimp). My friend's NY Strip, for some unknown reason, was also soaked in the strong garlic sauce. He chose not to complain.
I rarely complain but after ingesting what amounted to a large garlic clove, I advised the server of the garlic overkill. She apologized immediately. After a private discussion with her manager, she informed me that we would not be charged for the shrimp scampi dish.
