I generally try not to leave negative reviews unless it's absolutely unacceptable....well tonight was absolutely unacceptable! I have lived in Watertown CT most of my life, and have always supported out local McDonalds....tonight 6/17/2022 was no exception! It's my sons birthday so his request...the usual among he and his brothers 3 Mc Chickens plain, 2 /10 piece chicken nuggets with BBQ sauce, 3 McDoubles no pickles / no onions, 2 large fries, a large Fanta, and a large Sprite. Through the years we have seen many faces come and go but aside from an occasional cold item the staff has always been friendly. Tonight the young man at the window who was a sweetheart, handed me what should have been my order...but the fries and nuggets were missing. When I said there should be more to the order, a woman with a l9ng dark ponytail came over and basically spoke to me as if I was lying about my order. The cashier came over claiming she put everything into the system and the manager then asked for my receipt. Mind you....I never left the window! I located the receipt and pointed out what was missing...this woman then asked me for the bag so she could look through it. I sat there as she pulled the items out of the bag still not acknowledging their error. The food falling out of the wrappers as it was thrown back in the bag. A few minutes later the young man at the window was handed a bag with fries which were ice cold and soggy and cold nuggets....the fries were all over the bag and basically the entire order was over handled...thrown back in the bag...falling out of the wrappers...and cold. Not even so much as an apology. My sons ended up throwing it away when I came home and they noticed a Mc chicken was also missing and a hamburger that I never even ordered was in the bag instead. This was my sons birthday...something I actually stated as I was trying to get home. It's unfortunate that an individual who is payed to monitor the service provided could be so blatantly rude, and disrespectful toward the customers who are spending their hard earned money there. I reported the incident to headquarters and hope at the very least this woman learns how to work with the public. The staff under her had a better set of people skills and customer service! Maybe move someone else into her position! We won't be returning. I'm sure my money will be...
Read moreYesterday I went through the drive thru and the gentleman told me just a minute he’d be right with me. That was fine so I waited and waited.. in the meantime two other cars had pulled up to the other lane on the side of me and got waited on and proceeded to go up to the window to pay.. mind you I was there before them. So I start saying “hello@ no one answered, so I say it again and the women replies back to me “rude”. I said excuse me you’re rude for talking to a customer like that!! She went on to say no you’re the one that’s rude. When I got to the window She proceeded to tell me that I was screaming in her ear because the headphones were on her. That’s funny if they were on her then why didn’t she say to me the first time when U said hello that she’d be right with me. So she handed me my food and told me”just take your food and get out of here”. Believe me I told her that I put a complaint in about her to the manager and I hope she gets written up for her unprofessionalism. She told me “good you’d be doing me a favor “. I myself work in customer service and many times I had to bite my tongue. I would never to and disrespect a customer the way she...
Read moreIt's McDonalds.
I like getting the big breakfast, and also the egg McMuffin. Everything else tastes or feels far too synthetic to even humor. Especially the hamburgers, yuck. If you go just cheese and ketchup, you can taste this sickly sweet edge in the patty and bun, but they aren't gonna tell you what that's from. It's not sugar. Certainly not the cheese. Not the ketchup either. What is it...!?
Speaking of sugar, even the pancakes are jacked up on sugar beyond what is necessary. You should see the veritable bags of sugar they pour into the OJ. What purpose does it all serve? Sweeteners have dwindling returns, y'know. They don't even need half of it. In fact it makes it worse. So why?
Because sugar is addictive. Mystery solved.
Don't let their PR people get you wrong. They really do hate you, and this really is a business. That's why I just order some of the most fringe things on the menu, under the hopes they're the least automated, processed and synthetic. I miss the buttermilk chicken tenders for that reason. They actually seemed kinda real, as opposed to... whatever the nuggets are made out of.
S'pretty cheap though. Y'get what...
